So I have been dramatically overstressed during the past year and my LDL and Cholesterol have skyrocketed causing concern with my doc. I have been eating a protein type diet for the most part during the same period of time. Coincidence?

    Stephan “Whole Health Source”
has an interesting series of blogs on cholesterol start with

    “MRFIT Mortality”

In the first comment of this blog there is a link to a list of abstracts about low or lowered cholesterol health implications that everyone should be aware of.

Search pubmed for “Statins and Vitamin D” that explains how statins benefits derive from vitamin D sparing/mimicking effect not cholesterol lowering ability.

Keeping 25(OH)D status around 50ng reduces heart disease.

Sterolyn has brought my triglycerides down to 145 mg/dl and my LDL down to 95 mg/dl! My doctor calls me “the freak of nature,” haha. I plan to keep taking this forever. And hey, I’m enjoying my free subscription to Fitness magazine, it’s part of an overall lifestyle change.

I don’t pretend to know anything about the subject. All I know is that, even at 105 lbs., for many years my LDL cholesterol was always above 200. It wasn’t until I reduced my sugar intake dramatically that my LDL cholesterol level dropped to a healthy range.

Stress and stress hormones is probably the BIGGEST culprit. Stress hormones are known to destroy our cells and literally MELT tissue. Then comes our buddy, the cholesterol, to repair the tissue and arteries and save us from instant death. Saturated fat and cholesterol is GOOD for you. Get to the root of the problem of what is causing your arteries to get screwed up in the first place, BEFORE cholesterol comes in to repair them. Do you get it people?

  6. fatfist

Just like cholesterol in your blood works with the clotting factor to heal cuts on your skin and “clog” them to prevent bleeding; it does the same thing to your arteries when you have inflammation and scarring. No-matter how LOW your cholesterol is, this will STILL happen. So how can cholesterol be the culprit?
C’mon wake up people. Something is causing your artery walls to get inflammed, scarred or to thin out and leak; then cholesterol comes in to repair them. Sugar is one culprit.

Cholesterol would’nt be bad and clog arteries if they were’nt scarred. How do arteries get scarred? I’ll tell you how From homoginized milk ,tap water and many other things.

Even better, let’s sell the pesticides, herbicides and fungicides and other sh’t and then sell them onto the population! Even better, let’s turn them into a healthy tonic!!!

As if they’ll do that…oh hang on, they do! Those are called soft drinks.

I remember, years ago, hearing the s’it from loads of people claiming the health benefits of carbonated soft drinks. Oh yes, Tango is really great for our health just because, apparently it has a little apple in them.

There is a lot of propaganda and misinformation out there!

Why is it that when something good for us comes out of nature man has to turn it into crap?

I bought some organic bananas today. Great, those are good for you if they suit your metabolic type. However, why then are they now picking these fruits and veg earlier and earlier? None of the tomatoes are allowed to ripen nowadays, and this helps the fruit from all the nutrients in them. But, I know…let’s pick them green and sell them!

If you want to cut down the population to under half a billion the only effect way to do this to a growing population is to cause more diseases, cancers and illnesses. This way people die younger and younger. War, genocide and other crimes are ideal as well.

Those stats are made up by the drug companies who want to scare people into using them as a supplement.

  11. NODDYFISCHER

Well, my currency here in the UK is pounds. But we are also catching up, quite nicely, with all the diseases, obesity and cancers as other 1st World countries!

Where are these stats coming from? Or is it just a guess?

However, it does appear to me that someone is trying to kill us all off! The World governments want to cut the population down to under half a billion, guess what?! That means losing quite a few billion.

  12. kamalimd

Ok but if that’s the case, who do statin drugs make billion of dollars a year in profits?

Obviously, somebody is prescribing them other than your doctor who apparently isn’t. LOL

thats not how it was presented. it was presented as matter-of-fact. it was present as “the REAL truth that they dont want you to know about”. Its convinced every one of your subscribers and seems always do so. i think that you should just be careful when you have this much sway over people. a lot of what you said about sucralose was extremely dubious for example.

  14. NODDYFISCHER

To be honest, I don’t know any dietitians or medical doctors who believe that diet cholesterol has anything to do with blood cholesterol. About 5 years ago I was feeling ill and told my doctor that I may have high cholesterol. He then told me that I needn’t go for drugs, and high blood cholesterol was genetic. He even said that what matters is the ‘balance’ of good and bad cholesterol, but they don’t just put anybody on it!

Okay. So was I selling something on my radio show? No. I’m just presenting the other side that not many people seem to be aware of. They don’t have to blindly believe it. They just have to think and make up their own minds.

  16. UndergroundWellness

I say “no comment”. I’m really not the guy to ask about bodybuilding supplements. I’ve used creatine in the past and gotten a lot bigger and stronger. But it also made me incredibly bloated. There’s no research I’ve seen that says it’s unsafe. Your call!

  17. EverettsVLOG

Obviously a commericial is attempting to sell a product, why would they give a fair presentation of another approach to the problem? TV channels which present the same information in a 1-sided fashion are making the same mistake. its pointless and will only convince people who dont think very clearly. but there are plenty of them to convince.

Check out Chris’ blog and read the scientific references he posted last night. His blog is called The Daily Lipid.

It’s not a matter of people coming on my show ranting unchecked. It’s a matter of people like you criticizing without checking into it yourself first.

We hear the other side of the issue every day on TV commercials and news shows. That side is well-represented. Why don’t you ask THEM why THEY don’t host a debate?
