If you are interested to prevent diabetes then you should have basic diabetes knowledge:
Diabetes means your blood glucose is too high. Diabetes is the inability of the body to ‘produce insulin – type 1 diabetes’ or ‘proper use of insulin – type 2 diabetes. If we know the causes of diabetes then, we can take care ourselves from diabetes. Causes of diabetes are of two types: causes that we can’t overcome and that we can overcome. If you already have diabetes, then it is advisable to have diabetes medication and follow below mentioned diabetes care tips.

Causes can’t be prevented:
Hereditary – It is strongly believed that due to some genes which passes from one generation to another. If a mother has diabetics then there is 2 to 3% chances for her child, but if father has diabetic, the risk is more than the previous case and if both has diabetic, the child has much greater risk for diabetes.
Age – Increased age is a factor which gives more possibility than in younger ages. This disease may occur at any age, but 80% of cases occur after 50 year.

Causes can be prevented:
Obesity – Most of the sedentary life diseases are caused by obesity, one among them is diabetes.
Stress – Either physical injury or emotional disturbance is frequently blamed as the initial cause of the disease. It had been reported in many studies that there is direct relation between high systolic pressure and diabetes.

Diabetes care & handling or preventing tips

Skin is the largest organ of the body. Healthy, beautiful skin is possible to achieve, but elusive to many. Good, basic skin care can help prevent many wounds. Good skin care involves regular cleansing with a gentle skin cleanser. Regular cleansing should be performed on an “as needed. Cleansing is a critical daily skin care step. It removes the dust and dirt that chokes the pores on the skin. Most people do this 2-3 times a day; this is adequate for normal skins. But,for oily skin type a more frequent cleaning is very essential-even 4-5 times a day, using either a soap or some kind of cleansing agent. Most cleansers contain oil, water and ‘surfactants’. The oil dissolves oil on your face, surfactants dissolve dirt and makeup and the water washes it all away.

There are several alternatives to soap and water cleansing- creams, milks, lotions, foams, oils, gels and liquids. Avoid bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin. A cotton pad doused in fresh milk is a cheap but equally effective cleanser. Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells, which cause the face to look dull. The build up of dead cells can also contribute to blockage of the pores causing acne. Facial scrubs help clean the surface of the skin by removing the dead skins and the dirt mechanically. European women have been using exfoliants for decades. Skin exfoliation is suitable for greasy or normal skin, but should be used with caution on dry or sensitive skin.

There are several ways to exfoliate skin: Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and retinoids. Scrubs work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion. If your skin is sensitive, use a synthetic puff or natural sponge. Men are exfoliating their faces every day by shaving. The razor removes the top layer of dead cells every day. Toning the skin helps remove any leftover cleanser or make-up that may have been left behind. A toner also helps restore the natural pH level of the skin, leaves your skin clean, clear and ready to be hydrated. Toners not only cleanse the skin further and help in removing any remnants of particles that you may have left behind but also cools, nourishes, hydrates and freshens up your skin.

It tightens up skin and close up any skin pores that may have opened up while deep cleansing the face. Toners must be alcohol-free as alcohol dries off skin. Toning close the pores, tighten the skin, and keep it from being exposed to many of the toxins that are floating in the air or other environmental pollutants. Sunscreens protects the skin from any form of sun damage, wrinkles, sunburns or rashes. Facials help moisturize and massage the skin. Homemade facials are good quick fix solutions to pamper the skin with almost no side effects. Exercise, Facial massage and a healthy diet regime can complement your skincare routine and help the skin look healthy and nourished always. Good moisturizer helps the skin to balance and restores any damage that might have occurred to it overnight.

Cosmetic companies seem to think that men’s skincare products can be just like womenâ??s, as long as they have a â??manlyâ? fragrance.  There are some basic differences between a manâ??s face and a womanâ??s.  These differences need to be taken into consideration when creating men anti-aging skincare products.  Otherwise, they just wonâ??t be effective and could eventually make your skin look worse.

Even if you are a young man, you want to use men’s skincare solutions that delay the signs of aging.  Itâ??s just the safest and healthiest thing that you can do, as long as you know which ingredients to look for and which to avoid.  If you keep reading, thatâ??s what youâ??ll learn.

Just for Men Anti-aging Skincare Ingredients:

I call them â??just for men anti-aging skincare ingredientsâ?, because they address the issues of redness and inflammation.  Those are two problems that most guys have, particularly those that shave.  If youâ??re a young man, you might not â??seeâ? it, but it is a problem.

Not only does chronic inflammation, which is largely due to shaving, negatively affect your appearance, it can also affect the skinâ??s long-term health.  Researchers now believe that chronic inflammation plays a major role in the development of cancerous cells.

So, men’s skincare creams that contain natural anti-inflammatories may also help prevent skin cancer.  If you also strive to use cleansers and shaving lubricants that contain safe and natural ingredients, then youâ??ll look better today and in the future.

Using a just for men anti-aging skincare cream every day, after you shave, instead of the alcohol-based aftershaves that most guys use, is an important step.  The ingredients to look for include witch hazel and capuacu butter.

Witch hazel was once the most popular solution for aftershaves, but petroleum-based alcohols are cheaper and basically took over the market.  Witch hazel is a plant-derived astringent that has natural antibacterial and antioxidant activity.  It has been recommended for psoriasis, eczema, blisters, cracked skin, insect bites, poison ivy and cold sores.

Capuacu butter comes from a fruit, native to South America.  It helps to heal razor and sunburns, contains essential fatty acids that are needed to replenish the skinâ??s moisture content.

Ingredients that Men’s Skincare Products Should Not Contain:

The biggest problem with petroleum based alcohols is that they strip the skin of its natural moisture, causing excessive dryness and making the skinâ??s cells more easily damaged.  They also increase redness and irritation.  Plant-based alcohols are a better choice, but most companies donâ??t use them, because they cost more.

You donâ??t need or want artificial preservatives in a men anti-aging skincare cream.  Natural vitamin E is an effective preservative and an important antioxidant that prevents the appearance of age spots and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Again, companies donâ??t use it, because it costs more than artificial preservatives.  Added fragrances are also unnecessary and a common cause of allergic reactions.

There is a new line of men’s skincare creams that are safe and effective.  Thatâ??s what you need to look for. Visit my website today to learn more about the natural substances that are designed to keep men’s skin looking healthy and young.

Which asanas, or Yoga postures, should you select? How long should you hold each Yoga posture? What is the benefit of holding a Yoga posture for minutes at a time?

Should you start or finish a Yoga class with meditation? How should you incorporate Pranayama within your Yoga class? These are some of the many questions that Yoga teachers must address and find solutions for.

Which asanas or Yoga postures should you select? Some Yoga posture sequencing is considered so important that a few Yoga teachers and Yoga Masters have gone through the trouble of patenting and copywriting them.

This is still a hot topic in some Yoga circles, but sequencing should ideally contain a mixture of standing, seated, table, kneeling, balancing, prone, and supine Yoga postures.

This may not always be possible, if you are teaching a specialized class, such as Chair Yoga or Prenatal Yoga, but a wide variety of Yoga postures will have a multitude of health benefits for mind, body, and spirit.

On the surface, we know that Yoga helps us live a better quality life – with improvements in pain relief, the immune system, circulation, removal of toxins, and a change to moderate dieting habits.

Therefore, any Yoga is better than no Yoga at all. This is why it is good to tell your students to add a small daily Yoga routine to their lives.

If they can practice Yoga longer, that’s fine; but new Yoga students may have trouble fitting Yoga into their lives for 15 minutes a day. This shows you how busy they are all day.

How long should a student hold each Yoga posture? If you are teaching a Restorative, or Iyengar style, Yoga class, the postures will be held for a while. The purpose is for the above-mentioned health benefits for developing strength.

Most people think of Yoga as a “stretch class,” but holding postures for more than 20 seconds starts to test the strength of your muscles. As the time gets longer, your muscles let you know they are being worked; and this is much less friction than joints are exposed to by many other exercise methods.

A Vinyasa style Yoga class will not hold postures for long, but Vinyasa classes are aerobic, while enhancing muscle tone and flexibility. Some Vinyasa Yoga enthusiasts insist Vinyasa is the ultimate cross training method.

To be honest, most of the Vinyasa students I teach are, on average, a generation younger than my Restorative Yoga students, and my Chair Yoga students are a generation older than my Restorative Yoga students. Therefore, the type of Yoga sequencing should address the health conditions of your students.

Many international patients are put off by the high prices in Europe and the US and are traveling to India to get the same treatment at vastly reduced cost of 60% or more. The benefits of doing this are huge. Price advantage is a major selling point. The slogan thus is, “First World treatment’ at Third World prices”. Cancer surgeries in Western countries cost three to four times as much as in India.  If you have never considered India for pancreatic cancer surgery; now is the time to start. The advantages make total sense – and the quality of the surgery is comparable with any hospital in Europe or the US. Price hospitals of pancreatic cancer surgery in India at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad are providing special assistance to international patients who are coming to india for their pancreatic cancer surgery.

The Pancreas

The pancreas is a gland located deep in the abdomen between the stomach and the spine (backbone). The liver, intestine, and other organs surround the pancreas. The pancreas is about 6 inches long and is shaped like a flat pear. The widest part of the pancreas is the head, the middle section is the body, and the thinnest part is the tail. The pancreas makes insulin and other hormones. These hormones enter the bloodstream and travel throughout the body. They help the body use or store the energy that comes from food. For example, insulin helps control the amount of sugar in the blood.

Understanding Cancer

Cancer is a group of many related diseases. All cancers begin in cells, the body’s basic unit of life. Cells make up tissues, and tissues make up the organs of the body. Normally, cells grow and divide to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old and die, new cells take their place. Sometimes this orderly process breaks down. New cells form when the body does not need them, or old cells do not die when they should. These extra cells can form a mass of tissue called a growth or tumor.

Symptoms

Pancreatic cancer is sometimes called a “silent disease” because early pancreatic cancer often does not cause symptoms. But, as the cancer grows, symptoms may include:  Pain in the upper abdomen or upper back, Yellow skin and eyes, and dark urine from jaundice, Weakness, Loss of appetite, Nausea and vomiting, Weight loss. These symptoms are not sure signs of pancreatic cancer. An infection or other problem could also cause these symptoms. Only a doctor can diagnose the cause of a person’s symptoms. Anyone with these symptoms should see a doctor so that the doctor can treat any problem as early as possible

Pancreatic Cancer: Who’s at Risk?

No one knows the exact causes of pancreatic cancer. Doctors can seldom explain why one person gets pancreatic cancer and another does not. However, it is clear that this disease is not contagious. No one can “catch” cancer from another person.

Studies have found the following risk factors:

Age — The likelihood of developing pancreatic cancer increases with age. Most pancreatic cancers occur in people over the age of 60.

Smoking — Cigarette smokers are two or three times more likely than nonsmokers to develop pancreatic cancer.

Diabetes — Pancreatic cancer occurs more often in people who have diabetes than in people who do not.

Being male — More men than women are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Being African American — African Americans are more likely than Asians, Hispanics, or whites to get pancreatic cancer.

Family history — The risk for developing pancreatic cancer triples if a person’s mother, father, sister, or brother had the disease. Also, a family history of colon or ovarian cancer increases the risk of pancreatic cancer.

Chronic pancreatitis — Chronic pancreatitis is a painful condition of the pancreas. Some evidence suggests that chronic pancreatitis may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer surgery in India is in high demand by the US patients due to availability of world class cancer surgeons at very low cost with international medical healthcare facilities. Pancreatic Surgery in India brings patients from US and Europe to the country. The demand for cheap and efficient healthcare is drawing medical tourists from western countries to India for their surgeries. Desperate Americans, Canadians and British tourists lead the way for the growing medical tourism industry in India. Surgical procedures in India are charged at a mere fraction of the price for the same surgeries in the USA, making it much easier for uninsured families to manage expensive medical bills. . In fact, Indian doctors are considered to be among the best in the world and their high level of surgical expertise evolves from many years of training – after studying in India many doctors train and work in the UK and USA. The Healthcare Facilities in India are the most cost-effective in the world with private hospitals offering treatment at a fraction of the price of those in the USA, UK and Canada.

Figure out these, you meet a beautiful woman in a baseball contest, you ask her number and she kind of rejects your request. Then your friend hits on the same woman moments later, asks the same question and he is met by the same reaction. It is a good feeling to have been rejected but the best thing to understand is that at least, you tried. But all this said and done, have you ever wondered whey your request would be rejected by all the beautiful women you meet? There are three things that bother me as a man these days about what men do when they meet a beautiful women for the first time in their life.

Most men always seam to believe that it is the beautiful women who have to give a man their phone numbers and other contact details. But what i find is that, most beautiful women will always seam to resist giving a man their phone numbers. This is because beautiful women will always want to control the dynamic over a man and would not want to lose this control over the man. I always find it easier for the man to give the woman his personal details if he finds that the woman is interested in him. These makes beautiful women feel that they have control over the man and they really love these. You should be able to see this hesitation from the woman you have just met. Remember, there are many ways you can ask a woman’s number or email address, but in these ways do not act like your life depends on it.

Then there are the men who take dating too seriously, everything in their life depends on it. To them, there is no fun, no games and it is a no nonsense encounter. Hold it my friend breath in and out, dating is about meeting new, sweet and beautiful women, people you have a lot in common with, and people you share the same aspirations and dreams. Its about a positive attitude, people with these kind of attributes meet the most beautiful women in their life, so many beautiful women that they need assistance with their diaries. Women would love to go out for a game, a movie or a Broadway show just to take time and know what you are made of.

As a man you should take time with the beautiful women you meet. Unless both of you are looking for a casual relationship, you should not expect to sleep with the beautiful women you have just met. Take time to know her, even if the fantasy of having sex with her the same night you meet her overwhelms you. The last thing you should do as a man is to force a beautiful women into sex on the first day. The face of dating has changed and the circumstances are not the same anymore. Sexually transmitted diseases have become even more resistant to cure. Women want to be treated with much more respect than before, every man should know that!

Pathophysiology is that branch in science that deals with the study of the changes in mechanical, physical and biochemical functions brought about by a disease. One such disease that brings pathophysiologcal changes is diabetes. Diabetes pathophysiology therefore deals on the various changes brought by the incidence of diabetes as a disease.

As there are three types of diabetes, the diabetes pathophysiology will also vary in relation to the symptoms and complications involved in each type of diabetic condition wherein, the gestation type is only a prelude to type 2 diabetes.

What Recent Studies Show about Diabetes Pathophysiology in the American Population

About 65% of Americans today are considered as overweight and that it is estimated that 1/4 of the US population is suffering from diabetes, which is estimated to be around 21 million Americans.

The US ranks third in the world for having the most number of people afflicted with diabetes, trailing behind India who ranks as number one and China as the second. It is reported that the epidemic is concerned more with obesity being an underlying cause of diabetes.

Those born after the year 2000 are said to be already at risk of developing diabetes and this concerns 33% of the male population, 39% of the female wherein 50% of this will be Hispanic women. Based on assessment of medical facts and figures, the results indicate that cardiovascular diseases will be the eventual cause of fatalities.

Asians who were not among those included in high statistics before has now a high incidence of diabetic suffering population. Where the existence of the American fast food chains being considered, like in Korea where 10% of the population is diagnosed as diabetic.

Diabetes Type 1

The underlying causes of Type 1 diabetes, being genetic disposition, environmental exposure to virus, toxins, stress factors  and how it affects the beta-cells of the pancreas to produce insulin are all likely influences of diabetes pathophysiology in the society or community.

In short, the present day generation acquired their insulin deficiency from parents counted in the previous diabetic statistics.

With these factors considered, diabetes today commonly occurs from puberty age of 10 to 14 years of age, and the majority of those who developed diabetes type 1 became full-fledge diabetics before they reached the age of 30.

The basic characteristics evident among the sufferers are the symptomatic signs of hyperglycemia or borderline diabetes, intense thirst and unstinted hunger, frequency in urination, weight loss and low energy levels.

Diabetes Type 2

In Diabetes Type 2 where the sufferer is insulin resistant, the changes in the environment caused an individual to gain weight and develop all sorts of fat found in all the wrong places, wherein belly fat is the most harmful. In fact, childhood obesity has grown into epidemic proportions globally and early diagnosis treatment and management is now a global concern.

The genes among these children were not in question but their habits as they grew older as influenced by their current environment have changed. As they enter obesity at an early age, more and more substances are produced by the body to cause insulin resistance. Hence, the current statistics of type 2 diabetes include those belonging to the age range of 10 to 19.

It is quite evident therefore that eating habits and lifestyle as influenced by a society where children are now more engaged in less activity like video games and virtual recreations. Diabetes pathophysiology can include organ malfunction which may start from the liver resulting to insulin resistance.

Hence, parents who are supposed to be more knowledgeable should become aware of the fact that over feeding their young ones and keeping them confined in front of video consoles are not the best methods of providing a good future for their children.

I will begin this blog about natural beauty and how to make organic skin, face and hair care products that you can make to keep you and especially your skin, face and hair in optimum health by giving you an overview on how your body functions and what is meant by you being healthy. Without this information, many of you will be lack the basic knowledge as to what you should be doing to improve or maintain your overall health and your skin health.

The health of your body is determined by the collective health of every one of its cells. The healthy functioning of the cells is directly related to the following core healthy molecular materials used to build cells: 1. Oxygen; 2. Carbon; 3. Hydrogen; and 4. Nitrogen. All foods are made up of these four basic elements. Combined with these core elements in your food are many inorganic minerals such as sodium, calcium, sulfur, magnesium, chlorine, etc. These core elements and the inorganic minerals are metabolized by our cells in order to build tissues. The tissues are used to build organs, the organs are used to build core systems like the immune system and your skin, and these systems are used to build the body.

The body consist of well over 100 trillion cells. These cells interact in multiple ways to handle multiple cellular processes that control the cells environment, reparation, communication, transportation, policing, performance, pH balancing, medical needs and nutrition as well as toxic and waste (including free radicals) removal. Even if you are eating the perfect diet for your body type and avoiding any toxins in your environment, the acidic waste generated through metabolism needs to be constantly flushed from your body through your key organs. For example, the kidneys remove neutralized waste salts, uric acid, ammonia, the lungs take carbonic dioxide out from carbonic acids making your blood more alkaline and your skin uses perspiration to dispose of acidic waste products. Therefore any ss long as you are providing your cells with a healthy stress free environment, nourishing foods, clean water and air, and bathing your skin in biodegradable organic soaps and shampoos and moisturizing with organic oils for your skin and hairs, your body will have all that it needs to continue functioning properly including the disposal of all waste products in your body.

Of the trillions of cells in your body, they can be grouped into about 200 different types that require 90 plus nutrients to produce the hormones, peptides, neurotransmitters and other materials required for cellular renewal and the proper functioning of the body. The types of cells range from stem cells, blood cells and blood cells, to heart cells, spleen cells and muscle cells through to brain cells, eye cells, skin cells and nerve cells. Each cell performs its own unique functions that combine with other cells to provide synergistic choreography and orchestration of all the bodys functions. The different cells have a different half-lives. This means that your body is constantly renewing itself throughout your lifetime. Your skin which is the bodys largest organ is replaced every 21 to 28 days, your heart is renewed every 8 months, a new liver every 5 months, and your blood every 90 days. In the case of your bones because of the nature of the matrix being very hard (consisting of Vitamin D, calcium, boron and oesteoclasts) it renews every 7-10 years. The key thing to remember is that the quality of the renewal of all of your cells is dependent on the quality of building materials you have provided in the forms of nutrients (i.e. amino acids, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phyto-nutrients, sunshine, oxygen and water) and/or toxins that you have provided. If it is nutrient rich and not lacking in essential nutrients, then the regenerated body will be stronger than the original. If it is nutrient poor (i.e. missing key nutrients) and/or high in toxins, it will be weaker than before and will continue to worsen unless you make changes in your diet and environment.

To give you an idea of how this translates, consider that 10 to the power of 12 cells or 1% of your body mass needs to be regenerated every day. If you are providing nutrient poor materials and toxins to your body, this regeneration will not take place. Instead your bodys own proteins will endanger your life since after metabolism, many become free floating providing an environment for poisonous and fungal infections to grow on them. The toxins and wastes will accumulate in your body creating an anaerobic environment that is hospitable to fungus, bacteria, cancer cells, etc.

This accumulation of waste in and around the cells is what causes aging in the body. The most ready measure any person can do to have an indication of their state of overall health is to measure the pH of their urine and saliva in the morning. This is because pH is a controlling factor for hundreds of enzymes in the body for digestion, assimilation of nutrients and the production of energy in the cells. When your body is in a healthy state, you saliva pH should be 6.2 to 6.4, your urine pH should be 5.5 to 6.0. This would indicate that your blood pH is probably around it ideal measure of 7.30 to 7.45. If your pH level is below these ranges, your body is overly acidic most likely indicating a deficiency of potassium, magnesium, calcium, trace minerals as well as possible high pulse rate. To give you an idea of how long cells can continue to thrive when they are kept in a nutrient rich environment free from waste products, a French physiologist, Alexia Carrell kept a chicken heart alive for about twenty-eight years in a saline solution containing minerals in the same proportion as chicken blood. He kept the extra cellular fluids constant and disposed of the cellular waste products daily by changing the fluid. Its only when he stopped changing the solution did the heart cells die.

If you have been allowing toxins and waste to accumulate in your body, your health will start to be compromised, you will find yourself getting sick and your bodys built-in compensating mechanisms will be activated to compensate by neutralizing and excreting acidic toxins and waste from the blood, cells, lymph and tissue fluids. The eight compensating mechanisms are: 1. Increased Oxygenation through respiration; 2. Pulling Amino Acid reserves from intra-cellular amino acids; 3. Pull in high pH body fluids from the lymph and saliva; 4. Pulling High pH Electrolytes from bones, teeth and muscles, 5. Excrete acids through the bodys elimination systems such as the skin, colon, urinary tract and respiratory system; 6. Manufacture High pH Bicarbonate Ion from CO2 for diffusion into blood plasma; 7. Push Excess Acids to outer extremities away from vital organs (in terms of your skin this leads to dermatitis and joints and fingers rheumatoid arthritis); and finally 8. Dumping Acids into the Blood and Vital Organs. If number 8, happens, you body is in trouble because it means that your bodys pH is in deep in the acidic range and dependent on the nature of your cellular weakness and genetic makeup, this can lead to one of a number degenerative diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic degenerative diseases.

When you are ill, it can be down primarily to either nutrient deficiency, exposure and/or accumulation of toxins in your body, and finally the accumulation of waste in your body. So logically the key to restoring yourself to full health is to not just directly attack the virus or bacteria since the low pH is your body creates an environment hospitable to virus and bacteria, but also to eliminate the toxins and waste (i.e. detox) and at the same time to provide the proper nutrients to your body (i.e. change your environment, change your diet and change what you products you put on your skin, face and hair). When you restore the proper environment for cellular regeneration, a number of positive things happe
n: 1. The virus, bacteria or malignant cells die off because the majority cannot survive in the healthy aerobic environment – this is especially the case with cancer cells which can only survive in an anaerobic environment (Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for this discovery); 2. Your immune system is able to properly defend your body against these invaders; 3. Your energy levels go up as your body has the nutrients required for cellular regeneration and is no longer needs to using energy for the various compensating mechanisms to neutralise acidic toxins and waste, leaving your body with more energy.

So how does this relate to your skin? In further blogs in this series, you will discover that ill focus on providing you with information that will allow you to provide all the nutrients that your skin, face and hair needs as well as information on the dangerous levels of toxins found in many common skin, hair and facial products. Once youve eliminated these toxins from your body by detoxing and changing from the majority of toxic products one finds in most stores to biodegradable organic products that you can make yourself, your skins appearance will improve as well as your hair and face.

The Truth about Bloating Medicine

Of course, bloating medicine is a special concoction of medicines that were created to help treat symptoms of bloating in sufferers. Those who suffer from bloating deal with temporary or chronic stomach pain, feelings of fullness, gassiness, diarrhea, and a general feeling of discomfort. Some of these symptoms can be very embarrassing when experienced in a public place. Unfortunately, bloating sufferers can’t control when they will experience their symptoms, but taking some form of bloating medicine can certainly reduce the amount of time you have to deal with the symptoms.

Bloating Medicine and Its Forms

Bloating medicine comes in several forms. It can be taken in liquid form for fast relief. It can be taken in pill form for when the symptoms aren’t severe but annoying. It can be taken as a chewable, which is the least favorite of forms, or it can be taken in a liquid gel form, which is the best of the best. Taking bloating medicine in a liquid gel form is like taking the liquid bloating medicine without the nasty, chalky taste of the chewable.

For those that suffer severe bloating, it is recommended that you take your bloating medicine in liquid form. This treats the most uncomfortable of the symptoms fast, and can coat the stomach relieving the bloating altogether. For the fortunate ones that only deal with the occasional bloating episode, taking your bloating medicine in pill form can work just fine.

Prescription vs. Over the Counter Bloating Medicine

If your case of bloating is something you are running for the doctor for, then it is probably a good idea to seek treatment through your doctor for your bloating symptoms. In some cases, bloating can be a sign that there is something more serious going on gastronomically. You doctor can do the necessary testing to determine whether you are a candidate for the stronger bloating medicines that you can only get from the pharmacy. Many people feel that health insurance is a misuse of money. These people are often quite healthy and have no need to see their physician beyond yearly check-ups while some others are not aware about affordable health insurance life. However, health insurance is extremely important because it not only offers you protection from harmful illnesses or diseases and creates a better quality of life, but it can also protect you from financial devastation in the case of an emergency.

Having a middle class background or being fraught with many responsibilities in life can be a financial downside to say the least. Or it may happen that you may be dependent on someone else to cover your daily expenses such as a place to live and food to eat. Health insurance is something that everyone needs and not enough people have it because of these other financial burdens. Any emergency such as a car accident or broken bone will require adequate medical assistance. What do you do when you don’t have insurance and can’t afford expensive medical bills?

One of the most serious reasons for having health insurance is to cover the expenses of medical bills – urgent situation or non-emergency. Without health insurance, you may be tempted not to see a doctor about medical issues you have, or you may assume that they are not serious. Both of these options are harmful and unwise as medical issues will often progress and worsen over time.

If you find yourself financially helpless at any time in your life, you are probably without health insurance. This can be a nightmare whether you have a family or not because medical expenses can put you into debt quickly. Luckily, there are ways of finding affordable coverage providers that can keep your health, as well as your finances, safe. A simple visit to the doctor can cost you significantly more money than it would with insurance.

With so many health insurance plans and restrictions out there, it can be difficult finding the best health insurance for you. However, this process is quite possible to do with a little research. There are a few items to look for when deciding on health insurance plans, and by considering them all you can make a good decision for yourself and your family about health insurance. These include coverage like physician visits and fees and hospital expenses such as room and board in case you are kept overnight or longer for observation or treatment. Lastly, consider price. After researching different coverage plans or international health insurance plan and physician requirements, compare deductibles and monthly premiums to find the best deal. Often, you can get group rates through your employer, or you may find that artist organizations (for freelance artists) offer health care plans. By researching price, as well as other health insurance options, you can make the best choices for your family.

The importance of an effective skin care cannot be undermined for either men or women. It plays a huge role in our success and happiness. This article shall guide you on what are the building blocks of the best skin care for men.

Men skin care issues generally revolve around anti aging and how to reverse the signs of aging. The key to both of these lies in countering the causes of skin aging right at the roots.

The best skin care for men should include these 3 essential things –

– natural moisturizers to keep the skin well hydrated and to make up for the natural moisture that gets lost during the course of the day.
– emollients to soften the skin and soothe inflammation and irritation.
– natural antioxidants to counter free radical damage.

The major cause of skin aging symptoms to appear is the slowdown in the natural production of collagen and elastin in the body. These are the youth giving skin proteins that help to keep the skin firm, pliant, supple and elastic.

And as we age through our twenties and early thirties, the body gradually produces less of these vital structural proteins. This is what gives us wrinkles, saggy skin, fine lines, old age spots and dark uneven skin complexion.

Our skin begins to lose around 1.5% of collagen every year from the time we enter the early thirties. And it’s clear that we do not have to lose 100% of our collagen for wrinkles and fine lines to show up.

The best skin care for men should consist of cutting edge natural ingredients like Cynergy TK. It is unique in its role as a skin rejuvenator as it enhances the natural production of collagen and elastin by the body itself. This helps the skin to repair and renew itself just like it did in its younger days!

With a greater production of collagen and elastin, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic. Wrinkles and fine lines start to disappear naturally and you feel as if the young days are back again!

Cynergy TK significantly improves the skin’s moisture retention and elasticity. Clinical trials on human volunteers revealed that moisture retention improved by 18% and elasticity improved by 42% in a period of 18 days. This way it works as an amazing skin moisturizer in the best skin care for men.

It also soothes inflammation and irritation naturally as it is rich in functional keratin, which is one of the primary structural skin proteins.

Cynergy TK is rich in enzymatic antioxidants which are much more superior in their action on free radical damage as compared to general antioxidants. While the general antioxidants lose one unit for each free radical that they neutralize, in the case of Cynergy TK, just one unit of enzymatic antioxidant unit is enough to neutralize millions of free radicals!

Visit my website to find out more of such amazing natural ingredients that you should look out for in the best skin care for men which can give you a young, radiant and attractive skin glowing with natural health.

Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or large bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. It is the third most common form of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the Western world. Colorectal cancer causes 655,000 deaths worldwide per year, including about 16,000 in the UK, where it is the second most common site (after lung) to cause cancer death.[1] Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from adenomatous polyps in the colon. These mushroom-like growths are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time.

Symptoms of Colorectal Cancer

Many people with colon cancer experience no symptoms in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms appear, they’ll likely vary, depending on the cancer’s size and location in your large intestine.

Other symptoms include the following:

Abdominal discomfort (e.g., pain, bloating, cramping, fullness)

Change in bowel habits

Constipation or diarrhea

Narrow stools

Nausea and vomiting

Most of these symptoms are more likely to be caused by conditions other than colorectal cancer, such as infection, hemorrhoids, or inflammatory bowel disease. Still, if you have any of these problems, it’s important to see your doctor right away so the cause can be found and treated, if needed.

What Are the Risk Factors for Colorectal Cancer?

A risk factor is anything that affects your chance of getting a disease such as cancer. Different cancers have different risk factors. For example, exposing skin to strong sunlight is a risk factor for skin cancer, and smoking is a risk factor for cancers of the lungs larynx, mouth, throat, esophagus, kidneys, bladder, colon and several other organs.

Diabetes

Genetic disorders such as familial polyposis syndromes and hereditary non-polyposis colon cancer syndrome (HNPCC)

Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s colitis, granulomatous colitis)

Personal history of intestinal polyps or colorectal cancer

Alcohol

Research has indicated that alcohol increases colorectal cancer risk. Research has also shown that it lowers it, or that it has no effect at all. So which is right? All of it may be. The key appears to be what kind of alcohol you’re drinking.

Treatment of Colorectal Cancer

Advertising Disclaimer

Surgery is the treatment of choice for colorectal cancer. Treatment depends on the stage of the disease and the overall health of the patient. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be used as adjuvant treatment (i.e., in addition to surgery).

Given before surgery, radiation may reduce tumor size. This can improve the chances that the tumor will be removed successfully.

Laparoscopic surgery — Also called “keyhole surgery,” this innovative approach is being used for some patients with colon cancer. During the procedure, a lighted tube, called a laparoscope, and special instruments are placed inside the body through a few small incisions in the abdomen, rather than one large one. The surgeon is then guided by the laparoscope, which transmits a picture of the intestinal organs on a video monitor and then removes diseased areas of the intestines. Laparoscopic surgery for colon cancer offers an alternative and many advantages to standard surgery, including less pain and a shorter recovery period.

Everyone wants to have smooth and beautiful skin. You can achieve this by gathering the following ingredients, and following the simple steps below. It’s simple and takes little time.

In fact there are many useful for skin components in mineral water. Expensive thermal sprays can be changed with mineral water. Small drops of mineral water are like micro massage for skin and it moistens skin greatly. Sprinkle face with mineral water once a day. Especially it is useful in winter. If you have carbonated mineral water, you need to keep it opened for 30-40 minutes before using. If you like the idea to use mineral water, here you’ll find some recipes of nice masks for different types of skin.

The keys to beautiful skin are maintaining the skin’s acid mantle and a rapid turnover of skin cells that also rebuild damaged collagen and elastin to maintain strength, elasticity, and resiliency. This rapid turnover maintains ample levels of the water-holding proteoglycans and GAGs. The biocirculation (sometimes called the microcirculation) of capillaries and small blood vessels must constantly be renewed – damage to the microcirculation, which is common during aging, impairs nutrient flow to the skin – and produces the ‘graying” of skin associated with aging..

Vinegar has a tonic action that promotes blood circulation in the small capillaries that irrigate the skin. It is also antiseptic, preventing the proliferation of bacteria, viruses, or yeast that trigger infection. It can dissolve excessive fatty deposits at the surface of the skin and reduce scaly or peeling conditions. Lastly, vinegar regulates the pH of the skin. Vinegar is most effective when used with lavender, rosemary, rose, or elder flower. It is essential to use top-quality white wine or cider vinegar. Dry any fresh plant material for two days before using.

Best Natural Remedies for Beautiful Skin

Eat a healthy diet with lots of fruits, vegetables and leafy green. Good nutrition is the basic building block of healthy skin.

Drink plenty of water every day. (I fill a carafe to remind myself.)

Treat your skin gently: Don?t pull, scratch or scrub your skin harshly. Be very gentle when you clean it, moisturize it or makeup on it beauty skin care. This will lessen the chance that you’ll damage your skin and get wrinkles.

Wear Sunscreen, even on cloudy days and in winter. Use a good-quality, high-SPF sunscreen. Sun damage is the single most important cause of premature aging.

Beauty sleep: ‘Getting your beauty sleep’ is not a hyped notion of divas. Your skin actually rejuvenates itself while you sleep. A good eight hour sleep is a ‘doctor’s prescription’ if you want to look fresh and beautiful in the morning. Sleep deprived skin looks sallow, dull and tired and the eyes get puffy.

Grind one small carrot and squeeze the pulp to remove the juice. Apply the juice on your face and let it dry. Then, wash with cold water and wipe your face dry. This helps to rejuvenate your skin

Avoid getting chemicals like hair gel and sprays on your skin. They clog pores and can even harm the skin.

Use Facial masks: Facial masks helps a lot keeping a beautiful skin. It is a great beauty skin care. Find recipes for preparing your own facial mask here, Face masks.

Natural Skin Care Products Finally, look for natural skin care products that have certified organic ingredients in them. This may help in avoiding skin allergies, as many of todays products have toxins in them.

Today’s lifestyle makes many vulnerable to the scourge of diabetes. In healthy people, the rise of glucose is easily transferred to the cells of the body. The pancreas produces the insulin needed to move excess blood sugar out of the bloodstream.

Unfortunately, for the diabetic something goes wrong and the glucose remains in the bloodstream where it begins to do significant damage to many organs of the body including the heart and kidneys.

The reasons why glucose remains in the blood are due either to the lack of insulin production by the pancreas or the cells of the body have become resistant to accepting glucose even when enough insulin is available. Type one diabetics count for 10% of all diabetics. It strikes at a young age. Type two diabetes is more prevalent. It often affects during middle age and strikes many who are overweight and live a sedentary lifestyle.

Either type of diabetes will eventually lead to complications if it is not treated. The three most prevalent complications are:

Nephropathy: Excess glucose damages the functioning of the kidneys. 60% of all people on dialysis are diabetic. The kidneys attempt to flush out excess blood sugar, but in doing so it also flushes out many of the essential vitamins and minerals the body needs to function properly. If nutrients are not replaced, this leads to a downward spiral where death ultimately results. Diabetics need to take in more nutrients than the average non-diabetic. Unfortunately, the diets of the average person today lacks the minimum requirements of essential vitamins and minerals necessary for proper health. This insures that many diabetics are headed for dialysis as their kidneys fail.

Retinopathy: Many diabetics eventually go blind as glucose starts to damage the fine nerves in the eyes. Diabetics are at greater risk of developing glaucoma, cataracts and other problems associated with the eyes. Seeing an eye care specialist is a necessity. While drugs do help to reduce blood sugar to normal levels, they do nothing if nerves have been significantly damaged.

Neuropathy: Similarly, the delicate nerves in the feet are affected leading to loss of sensation. The diabetic does not feel pain when stepping on a sharp object. Infection can set in leading to gangrene and eventually amputation to save the person’s life. Tingling, pain, numbness are the first symptoms that the nerves are slowly dying. It is important for anyone with diabetes to have their feet checked for nerve damage.

Cardiovascular Disease: Fully 90% of type two diabetics are overweight and obese. Excess fat puts a strain on the heart. It has been shown that losing a few pounds can greatly reduce the chance of becoming diabetic or improve blood sugar control for those who have diabetes. Most diabetics also have high blood pressure, live a stressful life and have poor eating habits. Diabetics age faster, far beyond their years. Heart attack and stroke are common to diabetics. Evidence appears to point out another type of diabetes as excess blood sugar may be the direct cause of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Diabetes is a wasting disease. It is estimated that some 20 million Americans are diabetic while an additional 7 million don’t know they have it as symptoms don’t show up. While there is no cure for the diseases, diabetes can be prevented and even reversed with the right approach which must include a proper diet, exercise and cutting out the bad habits developed over the years that lead to the condition. While Type One diabetics must take insulin injections for the rest of their lives, Type Two diabetics can take an active approach to controlling their disease to insure that they extend life for themselves and remain a vital part for their families and friends.

It used to be simple didnt it?

Health was…a doctors visit, brush your teeth regularly, some jogging perhaps, a vitamin C and you were set.

Now there vitamins and minerals and herbs that you HAVE to take, and then there’s phytonutrients and macronutrients and micronutrients and…

There’s BMI and BCoR Scores and Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenetics and Stress counts and Blood counts and Macronutreinst and Micronutrients.

Then there’s enzymnes and co-enzymnes and oxidants and antioxidants, and – where do all this stuff come from?

Well of course it was always there – its just everyone is studying it all more. And some things are important and some are just terms.

let us begin: –

Nutrition and Nutrients

download our supplements reference chart here – LINK

Every diet needs an adequate supply of food and water to sustain life and promote growth.
Food provides calories (or energy) that our bodies need to function
A balanced diet for long-term health should contain no fewer than 1,200 calories and no more than 3000 calories per day, depending on body size and activity level.
The quality of the food we choose determines whether or not we are giving our bodies enough nutrition. And no matter how careful we are in these days of factory farming (that affects even your local farms soil and nutrients) and long distance growing it’s  impossible to intake even the bare minimum of nutrients required for a healthy lifestyle

To optimize your health:- quick tips
•    Learn what your Healthy weight is (not what you would like it to be or what you saw in a magazine – there is a weight that is right just for you).
•    Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables (use a supplement if you have to)
•    Increase your intake of dietary fiber
•    Decrease your intake of fat – especially saturated fats
•    Decrease the amount of salt and sugar in your diet.
•    Use alcohol in moderation

How Nutrients Work.
Nutrients from food are absorbed by the body as it passes through the digestive system:

* Nutrients are essential for cell growth, maintenance and repair.
* Nutrients provide energy to enable your body to function efficiently.
* Nutrients, along with fiber and water, are essential to your good health.

The main nutrients are:-

1))Macro: – carbohydrates, proteins, and fats

2)Micro: -vitamins, minerals and Phytonutrients

3)Omega  Faty acids

MACRO:-

Carbohydrates
•    When your body needs energy, it looks for carbohydrates first.
•    If you are not consuming enough carbohydrates, your body will look for other sources of energy, such as proteins found in muscle tissue. Proteins, however, are not efficient sources of energy for the body.
•    Carbohydrates also protect your muscles and help regulate the amount of sugar circulating in your blood so that all the cells get the energy they need.
Food Sources
Carbohydrates come in two forms: simple and complex. Both are composed of units of sugar. The difference is how many sugar units they contain, and how they link together.
•    Simple carbohydrates are sugars that give you instant energy and typically have no nutritional value. These include sweets, candy, and soda.
•    Complex carbohydrates release energy slowly and often contain fiber. These “healthier” forms of carbohydrates include bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, cereals and legumes.

Proteins
•    The body uses protein to build new cells, maintain tissues and regulate cell function.
•    About half of the protein consumed daily is converted into enzymes, the specialized “worker proteins” that regulate the speed of biological reactions in your body and permit it to perform functions such as digesting food and assembling or dividing molecules to make new cells and chemical substances. To perform these functions, enzymes often need specific vitamins and minerals.
To make all the proteins that the body needs, 22 different amino acids are required. Nine are considered to be essential, meaning they are not synthesized by the body and must be obtained from food. Our bodies can produce the other 13 from fats, carbohydrates, and other amino acids. So, these are referred to as non-essential amino acids.
Food Sources
Meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, nuts, legumes, and soy
Note
It is possible to consume too much protein. The amount of protein needed for good health varies.

Fats
Fats are essential for good health. They aid in energy production, cell building, oxygen transport, blood clotting, and the production of extremely active hormone-like substances called prostaglandins.

Fats can be saturated, polyunsaturated, or monounsaturated. Our bodies can produce both monounsaturated and saturated fats. Polyunsaturated fats, or essential fatty acids, cannot be produced in the body and must come from the diet.
Key Functions

Fat is mostly stored in the body’s adipose (fat) cells but is also found in blood plasma and   other body cells.
Fat insulates your body, cushions vital organs, and can be converted into energy.
Fat is used to build new cells and is critical for normal brain development and nerve function.
Fat is also needed to carry and help absorb fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E, and K, and carotenoids.

Fat is twice as calorie-dense (1 gram = 9 calories) as carbohydrates or protein (1 gram = 4 calories). Although there are health benefits associated with olive and canola oils, they are still high in calories (1 tbsp = 120 calories). In addition,  processed foods and fast foods are high in fat, especially saturated fat.

TIPS

Keep total fat intake between 20 and 35 percent of calories, with most fats coming from sources of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, such as fish, nuts, and vegetable oils.
Consume less than 10 percent of calories from saturated fats.
Consume less than 300 mg/day of cholesterol.
Keep trans fatty acid consumption as low as possible. Any packaged goods containing “partially-hydrogenated vegetable oils,” “hydrogenated vegetable oils,” or “shortening” most likely contain trans fats.

MICRO

Vitamins are organic substances.

* They activate enzymes, which are proteins that act as catalysts to speed up biological reactions that take place in your body.
* Your body produces a certain amount of vitamins D and K, but all other vitamins come from your diet or supplementation.

Minerals are inorganic substances that originate from rocks and ores and enter the food chain through the soil.
* We get minerals either by eating plants grown on mineral-rich soil or by eating animals that have fed on these plants.
* Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus are the major constituents of bone.
* Sodium and potassium control your body’s water balance.
* Other minerals (chromium, iron, and magnesium) are needed for various chemical processes to take place in the body.

Phytonutrients are those plant compounds that promote better health, although they are not absolutely essential to human health.

* The crucial role of fresh, whole plants in human nutrition is undisputed.
* Worldwide research has confirmed that diets rich in plants can lead to optimal health.
* Scientists know that plants improve health at least partially because of the thousands of plant chemicals or compounds (phytonutrients) supplied in a plant-rich diet.

Different plant varieties produce different kinds of phytonutrients.
•    The level of phytonutrients within any given plant varies, depending on the species of plant, the soil conditions and many other environmental factors.
•    Unlike vitamins and minerals, phytonutrients are not classified as essential; yet they appear to have many benefits for our overall health, both in general and for specific conditions.

Omega Fatty Acids

Omega-3s are termed essential fatty acids (EFAs) because they are critical for good health. Since the body cannot make them on its own, omega-3s must be obtained from food.
Key Functions
•    Reduce hypertension. Studies of large groups of people have found that the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids may aid in lowering overall blood pressure level.
•    Improve heart health. Omega-3 fatty acids may play a part in keeping cholesterol levels low, stabilizing irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), and reducing blood pressure.
•    Protecting the heart. Researchers now believe that alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), one of the omega-3s, may be particularly beneficial in protecting against heart and blood vessel disease, and for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Heavy Detail
Key omega-3 fatty acids include eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexanoic acid (DHA), and alpha-lineolenic acid (ALA). EPAs and DHAs are found in oily cold-water fish such as tuna, salmon, and mackerel, as well as fresh seaweed. ALAs are found primarily in dark green leafy vegetables, flaxseed oils, and certain vegetable oils.

Body Mass Index (BMI)

A simple and very general way to measure if someone is overweight or obese.

BMI is calculated by :

1) divide your bodyweight in kilos by the square of your height in meters

or

2) multiply your weight in pounds by 703, then divide that number by the square of your height inches

(nothing is easy)

BMI numbers

* under 19 = underweight
* 19-24.9 = normal
* 25-29.9= overweight
* 30 plus = obese

Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics-

The Latest Area of Nutrition Research

Nutrigenomics:
Nutrigenomics is the science of how your genes interact with nutrients. It is the study of how DNA and your genetic code affect your need for certain nutrients and help maintain optimal health throughout your life. How the very basics of our existence (material existnec- the cell DNA )funstion, act and react with diffrent crucial nutreinst

Nutrigenetics

Is the study of how we Individually react to nutreints. And we all react diffrently, because we are all made differently. So its a study that says we are all individuals and we act and react differently depending on how we are made up (DNA). No one thing works for everyone, which is why it seems there’s a new study every week that contradicts the last study. It does.

Our skin must be cleaned regularly in order to maintain a good complexion. Do you know that unclean skin favors the production of pathogenic organisms?

Yes, it happens. Unfortunately as we grown old, our skin ages and cause it to becomes thinner and prone to external damage.

If you want to live longer, you should start young and do something about it now. Living with skin cancer are not the best ways of living your life to the fullest as it will disrupts your lives. Nowadays, many skin care product have facial moisturizers with sun protection.

Sunscreen is the real fountain of youth. Get into the habit of applying sunscreen or a lotion with minimum SPF 15 to 30 protection daily. Remember the sun’s rays can still be damaging in winter months as it reflects off snow.

Washing your face with plain refrigerated yogurt every night makes most acne cases vanish within a few days. Yes I know that sounds weird but it works, truly!

Use homemade masks to moisturize your skin. They’re easy to make, and they really work!

Avoid direct heat on the face-including that from blow dryers.

Always use a mild, oil-based moisturizer under makeup to help retain surface moisture.

Guard against the drying, aging effects of the sun by using makeup products that contain a sunscreen.

Once every two weeks, stimulate the circulation and smooth the surface of the skin by using a nondrying mask.

Protect your skin with sunscreens. Avoid getting tanned. If you are under treatment for acne, consult your doctor about sun exposure as some medicines make your skin more sensitive to sun.

Do not pick acne. Trying to squeeze out blackheads or whiteheads may lead to further infection. Picking up acne at second stage may lead to scarring

Skin Type

Combination skin:

Most of us have this kind of skin, with an oily center area or a T-zone across the forehead, nose, and chin, and areas of dryness on the cheeks, and around the eyes and neck. Ideally, you should have one product for the oily areas and one for the dry areas, but this is expensive and unnecessary unless the areas of dry and oily are very different. It’s simpler to use a cleanser designed for combination skin. Use a skin cleanser for the central oily panel, diluted with water for the drier areas. The drier areas may or may not need moisturizing frequently. You may have to experiment a bit.

Best skincare routine for combination skin

The T-zone tends to need more attention than the drier areas of the face. Look for gentle cleansers and moisturizers that will work to keep it under control.

Look for cleansers suitable for combination skin. A deep-pore cleanser will help to keep the oily T-zone clear. In the summer, an antibacterial soap will help to keep bacteria in check and prevent problems in the T-zone.

Natural medicine dates back to ancient civilizations when people always turned to nature for natural therapies that helped their physical and emotional body obtain balance and order, relieve pain, improve health and treat illnesses. Since time immemorial, man has recognized that nature has countless elements just waiting to be discovered as helpful remedies in mans health maladies.

In fact, Hippocrates, considered to be the father of medicine, used countless botanical extracts and solutions available in nature to cure diseases as well as improve health and overall well being. Aside from herbal sources, natural medicine also uses therapies such as homeopathy, traditional Chinese and Oriental methods and other natural essences from the earth. They have been proven to be safe and have no side effects to say the least. Even modern medicine is slowly gaining interest in incorporating natural medicine with conventional medical practice.

One famous practice in natural medicine is aromatherapy where essences from plants such as flowers, leaves, seeds, twigs and bark are extracted to create essential oils whose scents are believed to help change moods, relax the mind and body, and treat certain ailments especially when coupled with other natural medications. Proofs that natural medicine is safe and that their efficacy is there is the fact that for centuries up to now, traditional Chinese and other Oriental methods of medicine are still widely practiced and some modern medical practitioners even in conventional medicine have adopted these methods. Of course the most common among natural remedies is the use of herbal plants.

Herbal medicine is common in almost all cultures around the world and its use dates back to thousands of years ago. Although plants and plant parts such as flowers, leaves, twigs and barks, are solely used, some cultures mix with these herbal extracts some animal or mineral products. The medicine may be in the form of tea, tablets, capsules, or any other forms of extracts.

A lot of food supplements and vitamins also incorporate plants essences as important ingredients. Natural medicine also includes other non-medicinal based healing and treatment such as mere exposure to sunlight or a get away to a place where there is fresh air and tranquil environment. Along with these other methods are forms of mind and body relaxation techniques that are primarily helpful in combating stress are meditation, massage, hypnosis, and mind and body exercises such as yoga and tai chi.

There are many proven benefits that natural medicine can bring about and with the rising costs of synthetically manufactured drugs and medicines; you might just find the perfect remedy that has always been in nature. Of course there should always be the intervention of a doctor and an expert in alternative medicine to make sure that the best possible ways of incorporating alternative medicines with conventional drugs will be of best benefits for you. Also, there is no better practice in preventing illnesses and promoting and maintaining a healthy body and well-being than to live the right life: proper and balanced nutrition, adequate rest, exercise, and a healthy disposition in life.

Want to lose weight fast? Do people call you lazy? Well the truth is, excess fat is not your fault.

Imagine now your mind and body as an iceberg. See the excess fat as the very tip of a iceberg and picture now the 80% of the iceberg below the surface as your subconscious mind. We all develop habits below the surface in our subconscious mind without even being aware of it, which is where the real reasons behind the excess fat are.

Most weight loss products on the market only deal with the very tip of the iceberg that you can see. Temporary solutions at the surface level are a lousy way to go about losing weight.

Are you now wondering where these habits started? Well actually most habits are formed in reaction to fear. Fear drives so much of human behaviour.

Your subconscious mind thus wants to protect you from what you fear right? So habits are formed to keep you safe. They are designed by your subconscious mind to keep you within your comfort zone which is typically played out by overweight people staying within the confines of their home, hanging with the same group of people, staying in the same job and the like, unless there is a self sabotage habit and the patterns are completely different.

Common habits which lead to excess fat include one or more of a combination of the following procrastination, perfectionism, self sabotage, over compensation, addictions, a need to please everyone, denial and often avoidance. Do you recognise any of these habits? Do you recognise any of these habits in someone you know intimately?

If it is all happening at a subconscious level it is hardly your fault.

Want the good news? Changing habits on a subconscious level is where the key to fast and permanent change is. Achieving weight loss is 80% mindset and 20% strategy. Once you have broken down old habits and developed new ones weight loss comes easy.

Start now by recognising what your subconscious habits are. When do they turn up? How do they generally play out? How do they impact your life? Then consider are they habits that you want to keep?

Do you want to create change on a subconscious level so weight loss comes easy? Well your subconscious mind does more to avoid pain than it does to seek pleasure because it wants to keep you safe right? So get this principle working for you by stacking pain to that old habit and pleasure to creating a new one.

Master this principle and this time it is the tip of the iceberg, i.e. your excess fat, which sinks!

Do you look older than you actually are? Do you want to attract the attention of a younger woman, but are worried of the puffy eye bags that make you look much older? Is you skin dry and rough? The right men skin care products are what you need to salvage yourself out of this situation.

And this article will show you exactly how to find them. After reading this article, you will easily figure it out how to re-achieve the young, attractive and healthy skin that you had in your youth days.

There are many ways in which a man’s skin is different than a woman’s like –

1) Firstly, men’s skin has a tendency to become swollen and red more frequently and easily. Skin inflammation is more common in men than in women.

2) Secondly, men are also more easily prone to dark circles and puffy bags beneath the eyes. This is because they produce more prostaglandin E2. Thus, when you look for men skin care products, look out for such natural ingredients that specifically cater to these two issues.

Cynergy TK is a natural ingredient that has been pioneered in New Zealand. It is very effective for its role in natural skin rejuvenation and anti aging. It blocks the production of Prostaglandin E2.

The unique role that it plays in anti aging is that it enhances the natural production of the two vital skin proteins called collagen and elastin in our body. These are the two youth giving proteins that give us a firm, supple, pliant and elastic skin.

As we age, the production of these proteins slows down in our body, which causes wrinkles, fine lines, saggy skin and age spots. So, a higher natural production of collagen and elastin gives us permanent freedom from all signs of skin aging – it prevents further skin aging and also reverses all effects of aging that have already taken place.

Although, the skin composition of men and women differ in some ways, they also consist of a lot of similarities. Like –

1) They are both affected similarly by harmful chemicals found in skin care products. A lot of hazardous chemical substances such as alcohols, parabens, dioxanes, mineral oils and fragrances are used a lot in men skin care products.

These cause widespread harm to skin and overall health in the form of skin allergies, irritation, redness, itching and inflammation. Parabens cause skin cancer! Fragrances cause anxiety, depression, hormonal disturbances and disruptions in functioning of central nervous system.

Alcohols cause excessive skin dryness and photosensitivity. Mineral oils cause acne eruptions, allergies and destroy the skin’s natural moisture balance. You should avoid these chemicals in all natural skin products for men that you purchase.

2) Another important similarity in the skin types of both men and women is that they both need vital nutrients like vitamins, minerals, calcium and antioxidants. This helps the skin to remain healthy and vibrant. It becomes capable to repair broken cells and sustain its normal functions and counter the damage caused by free radical damage.

An amazing natural ingredient in this regard is Phytessence Wakame. It is an extract of a special type of Japanese sea kelp. It is one of the best kept anti aging and skin rejuvenation secrets of Japan. It is rich in minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and calcium (its calcium content is 15 times greater than milk).

It does an amazing job in improving skin moisture retention and elasticity. It is also eaten as a food by the Japanese people. It helps in maintaining the balance of hyaluronic acid in the body and preserve youth and vitality. It gives creamy, smooth and radiant skin naturally.

Visit my website to find out more of such amazing natural ingredients that you should look out for in the best men skin care products. This would help you achieve a young, attractive and naturally glowing skin and make you much more interesting for the opposite sex.

Most of the time, prospective Yoga teachers have a very strong foundation in Yoga; but sometimes, they originally come from a related-field, such as Martial Arts, Pilates, Dance, Gymnastics, or Fitness. This is fine, but be prepared for a “learning curve” and do not expect to learn all about Yoga in one Yoga teacher training intensive course. Even if you “lock yourself up” in an ashram for months, you should realize that learning Yoga is a life-long journey and not a race.

Now, if you come from a related field – you have a lot more mental work to do than a long-time student of Yoga. Hatha Yoga is a physical form of Yoga, but being athletic is not as important as the knowledge a Yoga teacher should possess. So, what should you know in order to become a Yoga teacher? Below is a list of what a Hatha Yoga teacher should know in order to successfully teach Yoga classes.

Anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology should always be covered during a Yoga teacher training session. Yoga student safety is especially an important issue for those who will be teaching Yoga. Students are always physically different, and Hatha Yoga practice can be made to adapt to anyone – regardless of age or physical ability. Anyone who desires to teach Yoga should have a complete understanding of how the physical body works.

Asanas are the postures held during Yoga practice. Hatha Yoga teachers do not have to know hundreds of Asanas to teach a Yoga class, but they should be very familiar with 26 to 100 different Yoga postures – depending upon the style of Yoga. Yoga teachers should be able to design a lesson plan using these postures, their variations, and the many other aspects of Hatha Yoga teaching.

Yoga teachers should know how to give Asana modifications to their students. Sometimes, this could be advising a Yoga student to use a block, strap, bolster, chair, ball, blanket, or any other prop for proper alignment and safety. Other times, this might be giving a Yoga student an alternative variation of an Asana.

Yoga teachers should be familiar with contraindications for Asanas; which are cautions that can be related to a specific Yoga posture. This is very important when working with Yoga students who are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or have a specific ailment.

Yoga teachers should take the time to be familiar with each student and his or her particular health condition. This means researching health conditions that Yoga students have and staying on top of your own continuing education. After becoming familiar with an ailment; learn how you can help, but never give medical advice.

No Yoga teacher should ever put a student at risk. The body of a Yoga student cannot be forced into a position that a Yoga teacher feels is correct. Instead, the body is gently guided to its natural limits, without pain and little discomfort.

Pancreatic cancer: Malignancy of the pancreas. Pancreatic cancer has been called a “silent” disease because early pancreatic cancer usually does not cause symptoms. If the tumor blocks the common bile duct and bile cannot pass into the digestive system, the skin and whites of the eyes may become yellow (jaundiced), and the urine darker as a result of accumulated bile pigment called bilirubin.

Pancreatic Cancer Causes

The exact as to what damages DNA in the vast majority of cases of pancreatic cancer is not clear. In other words the exact pancreatic cancer causes are not clear. But it is known that a small percentage of people develop the disease as a result of a genetic predisposition. These people who have a close relative, such as a parent or sibling, with pancreatic cancer have a higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer themselves.

Age: is also a factor to be considered which increases the incidence of the disease. As age increases the probability of pancreatic cancer also increases. The incidence of Pancreatic Cancer is relatively low in individuals up to age 50, after which it increases significantly. The age group 65 – 79 has the highest incidence of Pancreatic Cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer Symptoms

In many cases, pancreatic cancer symptoms do not occur until the advanced stages. When pancreatic cancer symptoms do occur, they are often ignored because they are so vague and nonspecific. The first pancreatic cancer symptoms are usually pain in the abdomen and weight loss. Additional pancreatic cancer symptoms to look for include jaundice, fatigue, dizziness, weakness, diarrhea, chills, and muscle spasms.

Many of these pancreatic cancer symptoms are the result of a less serious ailment. However, only a doctor can accurately diagnosis whether or not your pancreatic cancer symptoms are the result of cancer.

Pain

Pancreatic cancer can cause pain and discomfort in your upper abdomen, which sometimes spreads to your back. At first, the pain may come and go, but as the cancer becomes larger, and more advanced, you may find that the pain is more constant, and lasts for longer.

The pain pancreatic cancer causes is often worse when you are lying down or eating. This type of pain tends to affect people whose tumour has formed in either the body or tail of the pancreas.

Pancreatic Cancer Treatment:

This cancer is difficult to diagnose because there are no symptoms in the early stages and because , when symptoms appear, they match other diseases. Depending on the stage and location of the cancer, surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy may be used. If the cancer has not spread beyond the pancreas, therapy can be successful, but, as stated earlier, it’s very unlikely to find pancreatic cancer in the early stages. In later stages, often the therapy concentrates on the comfort of the patient.

Obstruction of bile flow may be temporarily relieved by placement of a tube (stent) in the lower portion of the duct that drains bile from the liver and gallbladder. In most cases, however, the tumor eventually obstructs the duct above and below the stent. An alternative treatment method is the surgical creation of a channel that bypasses the obstruction. For example, an obstruction of the small intestine can be bypassed by a channel that connects the stomach with a portion of the small intestine that is beyond the obstruction.

A simple blood test is all it takes to find out if you have a normal cholesterol reading or if you need to make some changes to get it under control. But just what is a normal reading and how do you know if your cholesterol level is too high? There are two schools of thought when it comes to this; one based on the total blood cholesterol levels and the other on the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.

The good, or HDL cholesterol, is primarily responsible for removing the bad, or LDL cholesterol from the blood stream and returning it to the liver where it is removed from the body as waste. High levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood stream leads to plaque build up in the arteries. Plaque deposits can clog arteries which is a symptom of coronary artery disease. A total blockage can cause a heart attack. If a plaque deposit breaks free as a blood clot it can cause a stroke.

Total cholesterol readings are obtained by combining the total amount of both types of cholesterol. From this total your doctor can make an informed decision as to whether or not you need to take measures to bring this number down. Another number that your doctor will look at is total LDL cholesterol. This number is important because LDL causes the damage that can lead to heart disease.

The breakdown range of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol numbers is as follows.

1. Normal Cholesterol Readings – A total level less than 200 mg/dl or LDL level less than 130 mg/dl is considered normal. People in this range have little risk of heart disease or stroke from cholesterol problems.

2. Borderline-High – A total level between 200-239 mg/dl or LDL level between 130-159 mg/dl is considered borderline-high. People who test in this range are recommended to make some lifestyle changes based around a healthy diet and exercise plan to reduce their cholesterol to normal levels. People in this range usually do not need prescription cholesterol medications as simple lifestyle changes can usually bring about the desired results.

3. High Cholesterol Reading – Any test returning a total level above 240 mg/dl or LDL level above 160 mg/dl is considered high. People who test at this level must make some serious dietary changes along with starting an exercise program. They will also probably be given a prescription for a cholesterol lowering medication by their doctor.

For those who use the idea that the ratio between good and bad cholesterol is a good way to determine cholesterol levels it works like this. Take the total cholesterol reading and divide it by the HDL level. This will give a ratio that if it’s more than 4 then it is time to take steps to lower the overall and LDL cholesterol levels.

If you feel you may not have a normal cholesterol reading then make an appointment with your doctor. A simple blood test is all it takes to determine if cholesterol is something you need to be worried about.

Herbal body lotions have become popular over the last few years because it can cater to different kinds of skin problems. You can purchase these products in you local grocer or in specialty stores that carry them. You can also make them yourself with a few ingredients and with the help of recipes found all over the internet. But, which item is better for you, one that is commercially available or one that you made yourself? Well, it really all depends on your skill in finding a good product and also the available time to make one.

What Are Herbal Lotions?

Herbal lotions are products that have natural herbs added to the mix. They may either be in the form of natural herbal oils or as dried herbs that are crushed and mixed into the product itself. The items that makes up a natural lotion base can be: Shea Butter or Coco butter. These are bases to make the products stand out and to cater to certain skin needs. Different herbs have different effects on the skin and body. For example, the aroma of lavender can perk up the senses. This purple herb can be very soothing for people who are quite depressed. Herbs like eucalyptus, witch hazel also make it into the mix. These items are available commercially, but they can also be made by special artisans. You can even make this in your own kitchen.

Commercially Available Concoctions

You can find herbal or herb infused body care items in most grocers and department stores nowadays, but sometimes the best ones can be found in dedicated health, body and beauty stores. So, why is buying a commercial product better for you than making it on your own? Well, it may not actually be a hundred percent better than your own mix, but this way you will be able to save time. After all, not everyone has the time to slave over the sink and stove making herb infused concoctions. Oftentimes, the best thing to do is to buy the best product you can find on the shelf. A word of caution though, you don’t have to go with your first pick – you can look around until you find a brand that is right for you.

Home Made Mixes

On the other hand, if you can not find a good one, why go to the store and purchase products that you know will not cater to your needs? Instead, you can still make your very own herb infused body lotion with personalized choice of herbs in just a few easy steps. You can even use these home made products as gifts to your family and friends. It’s a great DIY project to do on a lazy afternoon.

An epidemic is raging in our state: the obesity epidemic. Across South Dakota, the number of overweight and obese individuals is rapidly increasing. In the Mount Rushmore State almost 63% of adults are overweight or obese.

This epidemic is costing South Dakotans more than just their health – it’s costing them money. According to recent data from the U.S. Public Health Service Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the cost to the taxpayer for obesity-related expenditures in our state amounts to over $195 million annually.

And of course the costs of obesity are not limited to dollars and cents. People die from obesity (and related illnesses called co-morbidities) every day. Thousands of South Dakotans with diabetes, cancer, heart conditions, and hypertension suffer as a result these obesity-related illnesses.

Obesity Defined

A person who is significantly above their healthy weight is said to be obese.
Healthy weight is calculated in terms of individual body mass index (BMI), but actuarial tables generated from insurance industry statistics are used to determine the actual healthy weight in pounds for persons of various ages, builds, and heights. Your doctor can go over these data with you to determine if you are obese, clinically overweight, or at a healthy weight.

Many of those suffering from obesity have tried everything to lose weight – celebrity diets, brutal exercise regimens, even those snake-oil “medicines” advertised on late-night TV. Some who have tried these methods have lost weight, true, but many others have accomplished nothing other than ruining their health.

Gimmicks are not a safe weight loss option. The only safe way to lose weight is to eat less and become more physically active. Medically-supervised diet and lifestyle modification programs are the ideal way to do this. For some, however, education, counseling, support, and willpower are not enough. Weight loss surgery stands as their weapon of last resort in the war against obesity.

The Surgical Option

When all else fails, doctors can counter a patient’s obesity by physically limiting the amount of food – and thus calories – that he or she can consume. Surgical weight loss – also known as bariatric surgery — has been proven to help ease (and in some cases completely resolve) obesity-related health problems, as well as lessening their chances of developing weight-related health problems in the future. The procedures (there are three types) are performed under general anesthesia, most laparoscopically.

Making the decision

Weight loss surgery is not a cure-all for being fat. Patients must be prepared for a complete change in lifestyle for the surgery to have the desired long-term effect. Those patients who fail to follow postoperative instructions may regain any weight lost. These operations also involve certain risks, which include infection, nutritional deficiencies, ulcers, hernias, and gallstones. Obese patients should always consult with their physician before making any decision regarding surgical weight loss.

Considering Surgical Weight Loss

We South Dakotans are an individualistic people. Each of us must seek our own best method of staying at a healthy weight. For some, weight loss surgery is that method. We should each consider all the options, and then make an informed decision about our own strategy in the war on obesity in South Dakota.

All throughout man’s civilization, medicine has played a very vital role in maintaining the health of people. In fact, shamans and medical figures were oftentimes occupying relatively high and significant positions in most ancient societies.  Up to now, people still put so much premium on medical professions. From crude concoctions to intensive medical procedures today, there is no doubt that man has developed his knowledge of medicine and medical treatments. However, the recent decades have seen mainstream regression towards more traditional and less invasive forms of medicine. One of them is homeopathy.

To delineate the differences between Homeopathy and Conventional Medicine, we must look into the main differences between the two according to:

I. Main Principles

Homeopathy

The main contention of homeopathy is that the treatment for an ill person is the same substance that can elicit symptoms of the disease to an otherwise healthy person. In this approach, both the physical and psychological states of the person are important in the selection of appropriate treatments.

Conventional Medicine

The main thesis of conventional medicine is that treatment can only be done to a person with disease. Otherwise, the person is healthy and requires no medical attention.

II. Main philosophy

Homeopathy

In essence, homeopathy is a vitalist philosophy which regards diseases, disorders and sicknesses as products of disturbances in the life force or the vital force. Such disturbances are the host of symptoms that distinguish one disease from another. In this type of approach, it is believed that the life force has the capacity to adapt to both internal and external causes. This phenomenon is more popularly known as the law of susceptibility. These further states that a negative state of mind could attract miasms or hypothetical diseases. These miasms could enter the body and produce the symptoms of a particular disease. Apart from this law, there are other central philosophies to which homeopathy adheres to such as like cures like, the principle of single remedy and the principle of minimal dosage.

Conventional Medicine

Conventional medicine is evidence-based and does not believe in the life force. Instead, its main philosophy is that a specific type of disease has a single agent or cause, therefore the use of a single therapy is sufficient enough to neutralize the condition. This single therapy is oftentimes in the form of surgery or synthetic drug. This philosophy is called is the doctrine of specific etiology.

III. Common remedies

Homeopathy

This approach often turns to nature for medicinal remedies (at least the more popular and known homeopathic practices). Preparation of remedies is basically in the form of succusion and dilution. In developing remedies, homeopaths make use of two processes—potentisation and dynamisation.

Conventional Medicine

In sharp contrast with homeopathy, conventional medicine makes use of synthetic and highly invasive forms of treatments. Medicines are normally produced in the laboratory from naturally-occurring substances. Due to the advancements in laboratory and clinical research, there are already numerous processes used to develop medicines and medical treatments. Nonetheless, common treatments come in the form of medication and drugs, therapies and others.

Homeopathy and conventional medicine may be incomparable by nature. However, they have the same guiding purpose—to find and provide cure for diseases, disorders and abnormalities in health.

The public view of Yoga has dramatically changed. At one time the vast majority of Yoga schools were home businesses. These days, every fitness studio has Yoga classes and many corporate fitness centers have added Yoga classes to the schedule. So, how else could a local Yoga teacher help your business?

Each business has, within itself, safety hazards, repetitive motion injuries, stressed out employees, and an atmosphere that requires optimum morale. Every possible life skill can be gained from the steady practice of Yoga.

Safety hazards need to be listed in at least two categories, from actual hazards to potential hazards. An actual hazard such as a back injury that occurred in the past, which often happens to employees holding a specific job, or within a particular department, can be prevented by having a Yoga specialist observe the physical movements of those employees.

In an office setting, Yoga techniques can be introduced to gently stretch tendons, muscles, and soft tissue. This has often been referred to as “Office Yoga” and will actually increase productivity as office employees “recharge their batteries.”

Within a manufacturing or shipping environment, employees face many risks. Shifting and lifting objects can cause many accidents or repetitive motion injuries. There is also the potential for injury when employees who monitor machinery become less aware of hazards around them. Yoga practice helps employees to increase their awareness on the job.

Repetitive motion injuries can occur on any job. The cost of worker’s compensation claims is enough to make any business take preventative action. Yoga classes and Yoga safety programs offer employees methods for preventing injuries. Installing a Yoga program does create a positive atmosphere in the workplace.

Stressed out employees will benefit from any Yoga exercises or techniques. The fact is that stress will cost every company a fortune in health insurance premiums and potential claims. Think of the sick time, lack of production, poor morale, potential office turmoil, and worker’s compensation claims. In each case Yoga offers a low cost alternative for small to medium businesses.

Yoga classes in the workplace create an atmosphere of optimum morale. Employees get the message that upper management cares about their well being, when Yoga classes are available. These small “perks” create harmony in the office, on the production floor, and within shipping departments.

Even a worker who is disgruntled will realize the benefits of a corporate Yoga program. Yoga also helps employees develop new life skills such as anger management, stress reduction, moderate diet, healthy living, self-esteem, and much more. The truth is: There are so many benefits to be gained by introducing Yoga into the corporate sector that management is “crazy” not to offer it.

Imagine a company with happy, healthy, and appreciative employees. Yoga could be inserted into the work schedule, for a half-hour per day, and you would still increase productivity. Yoga training in the workplace is truly a “win – win” situation for both the employees and the ownership.

Generally, Yoga consists of and is described in eight stages astanga-yoga, (â??eight-membered Yogaâ??). Yama (â??restraintâ??) denoting abstinence from injury (ahimsa), falsehood, stealing, lust, and avarice is the first stage; with niyama (â??observanceâ??), denoting cleanliness of body, contentment, austerity, study, and devotion to God, the second stage.

The next two stages consist of physical preparations, such as, Asana (â??seatâ??), a series of physical posture exercises intended to condition the body, making it supple, flexible, and healthy. Mastery of the asanas can be calculated by oneâ??s ability to maintain a prescribed postures for an extended period of time, without involuntary movement or physical distractions. Pranayama (“breath control”) is a series of exercises intended to stabilize the rhythm of breathing in order to encourage complete respiratory relaxation.

With great benefits, Yoga is becoming very popular all over the world, including making a come back in the land of its birth i.e. India.

Pratyahara (â??withdrawal) is the fifth stage, which involves control of the senses, whereby one can centre all of oneâ??s senses from outward objects to the mind. The first five stages of Yoga are considered external aids, while the remaining three are purely mental or internal aids.

Dharana (â??holding onâ??) is the ability to focus awareness of externals to one object for a long period of time, such as, focusing the mind on an object of meditation e.g. an image of a deity or some such. Dhyana (â??concentrated meditationâ??) is the uninterrupted contemplation of an object of meditation, beyond any memory of ego. Samadhi (â??self-collectednessâ??) is the final stage and a pre-condition for attaining moksha or being released from the cycle of life and death. This stage, allows the meditator to perceive or experience the object of his meditation and himself as one entity.

Though, the pre-history of Yoga is not clear, however, early Vedic texts speak of ecstatics, who may well have been predecessors of latter day yogis or the followers of Yoga. Although Yoga has been made into a separate school (â??darsanâ??), its influence and many of its practices have crept into other schools.

In the course of time, certain stages of Yoga become ends in themselves, notably, the breathing exercises and sitting postures, as in the school of Hatha Yoga. In a less technical sense, Yoga used for achieving union with God, in the epic poem the Bhagavadgita, is also used to distinguish the alternate paths (â??margasâ??) to such a union.

With the philosophy and practice of Yoga increasingly becoming popular in the West, the physical and spiritual benefits of Yogic techniques have become available through a wide variety of sectarian Yoga organisations, non-sectarian classes, and television programmes in the United States and Europe.

â??Praptiâ?? is the fifth power that a practitioner of Yoga can gain mastery over. Anyone, who becomes proficient in it, is able to reach distant places according to his will, in just a matter of moments. Those people wishing to expose this psychic claim as a hoax conducted experiments, only to find that 95% of the time the yogis were able to transport themselves to distant, remote places.

Next, mastery over â??Prakamyaâ?? shows one how to achieve whatever one desires. Like the Genie in the bottle who granted every wish and carried out every command issued by Alladin, a person who can perform Prakamya can make his every wish come true e.g. asking for Eternal Youth will ensure he is forever young.

In meanwhile, you can read yoga books or buy yoga accessories, if you are convinced it is time to become a yoga devotee. One can purchase online yoga books on meditation and spirituality, yoga audiotapes, including yoga accessories, such as, yoga mats, yoga straps, yoga blocks! from Yogabestseller.com Prepare yourself well to make yoga practice a pleasant and fruitful experience! We can promise you, it is one decision you will never regret!

Unfortunately, these days cancer has become more and more of a commonplace disease. Almost everyone knows someone who has battled cancer or has even suffered through the disease themselves. However, on those occasions when cancer is misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all, a life threatening situation can develop for the patient.

Frequently Misdiagnosed Cancers

Common cancers that are frequently misdiagnosed leading to medical malpractice lawsuits include:

· Breast cancer

· Lung cancer

· Rectal cancer

· Prostrate cancer

· Cervical cancer

· Ovarian cancer

· Testicular cancer

Statistics have shown that most cases of breast cancer malpractice are due to mismanagement of medical tests. The typical problem is when the severity of the breast lump or symptom is underestimated. A delayed breast cancer diagnosis can be extremely dangerous, as a more advanced cancer is harder to treat and more likely to spread.

The importance of early detection and treatment in cancer patient is crucial to their survival. For example, an incorrect diagnosis of lung cancer is often responsible for the unnecessary removal of a lung. A delayed diagnosis can be responsible for growth of the cancer, making it much harder to treat. Accordingly, the typical lung cancer malpractice case alleges misdiagnosis via poor diagnostic methods or the mismanagement of diagnostic tests.

Grounds for Cancer Malpractice Claim

Some of the most common bases of a cancer malpractice claim include:

· The results of a test were not reported to the patient

· Failure to perform a test that would have diagnosed the cancer

· Symptoms and their causes such as rectal bleeding, changes in bowel or bladder habits, nagging cough or hoarseness, a lump in a breast or an abnormal pap smear were ignored or not followed up on sufficiently by the health care professional

· Symptoms were identified but the patient was not referred to a specialist

· X-rays, mammograms or other tests were not interpreted correctly

· X-rays, mammograms or other tests were not properly administered

Failing to diagnose cancer can result in death or severe injury and is one of the leading causes of medical malpractice lawsuits. Cancer malpractice victims may be entitled to recover their medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and other damages resulting form the missed diagnosis or negligent treatment.

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that circulates through the blood stream and is found in the tissue of all animals, including humans. It only makes sense then that any food derived from animal sources contains cholesterol with the highest levels of cholesterol being found in egg yolks and organ meat such as liver or kidneys. There are two types of cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and high-density lipoproteins (HDL) which are considered good (HDL) and bad (LDL). If you have too much of the bad LDL cholesterol in your blood stream your risk for coronary artery disease, heart disease, and heart attack are greatly increased.

Cholesterol is a necessary nutrient that transports different compounds, including triglycerides, fatty acids, phospholipids, cholesterol, and small amounts of steroids and fat soluble vitamins, through the blood stream. Your body makes some cholesterol and the rest it needs comes from animal sources. Food derived from plant sources does not contain any cholesterol.

This doesn’t mean that all plant food sources are safe when it comes to high cholesterol. Plants and animal food sources with high levels of trans-fat, or saturated fat are actually more responsible for high cholesterol levels then foods that have just high cholesterol. Foods prepared in saturated fat found in many vegetable oils are more dangerous to your health then foods that are just high in cholesterol.

This can be confusing but if you look at a meal we are all familiar with it will make more sense. We all know that eggs, or the yolks, are high in cholesterol and when we have a breakfast of eggs and bacon, or sausage; it can cause blood cholesterol levels to go up. What most people don’t realize is that the high fat content of the bacon and sausage is more responsible for this increase then the cholesterol in the eggs.

You don’t necessarily want to have low levels of HDL cholesterol but you do want to keep your LDL levels low. The reasons for this are simple; high LDL levels are known to increase the risk of coronary artery disease by clogging artery and contributing to plaque build up in the artery walls. HDL cholesterol, on the other hand, actually circulates through the blood stream and picks up LDL cholesterol, removing it from the circulatory system and taking it to the liver, which disposes of it.

Another thing to watch is triglyceride levels because high levels of these chemical forms of fat are associated with high LDL levels and low HDL. Triglycerides are found in many foods and are also made by the body which uses them for energy production. High triglyceride levels are found in the obese and people who have diabetes.

One of the easiest ways to reduce cholesterol is by avoiding foods high in saturated fat and trans-fats. You can eat foods that have cholesterol in them, but moderation is the key and avoid eating them with foods high in saturated fats. Losing weight and exercise is also a good way to reduce cholesterol levels. If diet and exercise are not working your doctor may choose to use prescription medications in conjunction with the strategies above to reduce high cholesterol levels.

Now that we have learned that autism creates havoc with verbal speech and the communication between the brain and how speech is produced, we now have to look at how autism affects body language. Body language is the second form of communication that humans use to express their wants and emotions. As with speech, the autistic child has difficulty or no skill at all deciphering what a person is saying with facial expressions or body language. If you want someone to come closer you wave to them. If you want somebody to know your angry, you usually have a scowl on your face. If you are sad or happy, you can see the emotion in your facial expression and how you move your body.

The autistic child does not have an understanding or either body language of facial expression. They are in a world that is centered in themselves and the nuances of a gesture or hand motion is lost to them. Most autistic children have a hard time making eye contact during conversation. If the adult speaking or working with them does have this knowledge of no eye contact, it can be very for that adult to understand what is happening. It can be frustrating for both the adult and the child when that simple knowledge can save a lot of grief. The child may be listening to you and maybe even understand what you have said, but there attention and focus looks like it is on something else.

The autistic child may not even be looking at what you are thinking they are looking at. Eye contact is a simple human reaction to communication and that reaction within them does not exist. Even the simple activity of pointing to something you want can be lost in translation to the untrained parent or teacher. If the child is pointing at a cookie, the cookie may not be the object of his or her desire. The cookie is a symbol that may represent that they are hungry or it may be so abstract that the shape of the cookie, round, is the same shape as the toilet and they need to use the restroom. Even color may be an indication of a connection between a want and an abstract idea. It takes time and observation and a lot of out of the box thinking to link the communication patterns of an autistic individual.

The autistic child will have trouble associating your voice and your words in exactly what you want from them. Even their name may not be recognizable to them in their brain and the response to your words may be slow or may not be attended to at all. For this reason some autistic children who have not been diagnosed yet will have a diagnosis of a hearing problem. This is not the case. The child just does not know to respond to your words and if they respond it may not be in the manner that the parent or other adult expects.

The use of grammar in a sentence for mild autistic child is again a problem. Personal pronouns and verb agreement sometimes do not meet what the adult wants the child to say. You may say, ‘it is your birthday today,’ and the child will repeat the entire sentence back to you without changing the your to my. First, second, and third person is not always used correctly or will not be used at all. Some autistic children will be stuck on one view of person and will use it in every context. It takes patience and time to be able to build a communication process, and even with both the autistic child may never be able to communicate their needs.

This is the age of beautiful and smart people. The new millennium will see hordes of confident and beautiful people marching forth with renewed energy vivacity and verve. Proper skin care is very important in achieving a beautiful makeup look. Start by cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin. This allows a nice palette with which you can then apply makeup. You´ll feel better about yourself too. It´s all about personal hygiene.

Most women are unsure what type of skin they are. How can you tell? First, ask yourself if you have any oiliness, dryness, or signs of aging. If you are oily all over, you are an oily skin. If you are oily in the T zone and dry on the cheeks, you are probably a combination skin. If you are moderately to extremely dry on the cheeks you are a dry skin. If you have signs of aging, more than likely you have a dry skin.

Once or twice a week you should incorparate a dedicated exfoliator into your regime. These work by sloughing off the top layer of (mainly dead) skin cells and encourage cell renewal. This will brighten up the complexion considerably making it feel very smooth.

Astringent : A clear liquid that lifts off that last layer of dirt from the skin, tightens the pores and neutralizes excess oil; to be used after cleansing, before applying the moisturizer. It usually contains alcohol which helps clean the skin and inhibits the growth of bacteria. It can also be used throughout the day to counteract any buildup of oil on the skin. A toner, used for the same purpose, does not contain alcohol. You can use either.

Toning is essential for removing the dirt, make-up and oil that cleansers fail to remove. Some people take this step as optional. But people with oily skin and combination skin can greatly benefit from toning. Because it acts as an extra step to eliminate oil, it also lessens the chances for pore blockage leading to acne.

Tips for skin toning

Potato is a effective skin toner especially for dry skin. Rub a piece of potato alll over the face and then wash well with cold water.

A piece of cotton should be used with astringent lotions.

Take Two tablespoons of lemon juice and mix with 1 tablespoon glycerine and three tablespoons of rose water. Rub this juice on the dry skin.

According to Jataka Tales (the stories that tell the life history of Gautama Buddha), Jeevaka, the legendry physician treated Buddha. He also treated King Bindisara, the father of Emperor Ashoka.

As Jeevaka completed his studies at the Ashram of his Guru, Aatreya, he was asked to present a plant with no medicinal value as his Guru Dakshina. Gurudakshina is the gift of offering a disciple gives to his teacher when his education is completed.

Jeevaka searched the whole of Sarlaka Mountain to find such a plant with no medicinal value. He returned to his teacher empty handed and told his guru that he was not able to give him a guru dakshina. He also said to his teacher that not only the plants, but also the smell, sunlight, and sound originating from the stream that passes mildly by are filled with medicinal power. Some heal physical ailment of humans, while others cure ailments of animals or plants. Some are good for curing any mental condition.

Then Guru Aatreya smiled at him and said “everything in this world has its own significance”.

This is the basis of Ayurveda. When you think about Ayurvedic medicinal plants, think that every plant on earth is a medicinal plant.

The thing is to identify the method to identify and extract that medicinal power for appropriate use.

Same species of plants growing at different places can have different medicinal values. For example the plants growing in Himalayas will not be the same as the ones growing in Agastya hills of Kerala. The natural habitat, climate, available minerals, presence of other plants and trees, etc have influence on the medicinal properties of plants. This may not be primarily identifiable, but it is a fact there is at least a minor difference in the medicinal property of same species plants growing in different locations.

Cultivation of medicinal plants has picked up speed. In India and in places outside India there is large-scale cultivation of medicinal plants. Using of chemical fertilizers is a strict no-no for medicinal plant cultivation. It is also to be noted it is not possible to recreate the natural surroundings at which a medicinal plant grows in a different location.

Keep the story of Jeevaka and his Teacher, Guru Aatreya in mind, whenever you hear the term Ayurvedic medicinal plants or Ayurvedic medicinal herbs.

The following is a (naturally) incomplete list of medicinal plants and herbs used in Ayurvedic treatment.
