Hard, Hottie or Shoddy

As the saying goes

You are what you eat with no exception to anybody

And concerning your health you can’t be lottie dottie

You ain’t got but one body

And though science transplants organs

There’s been no advancement for the transplanting of our bodies

Treat me right I’ll serve you whole heartedly

Cause I got to be healthy and strong

Look how you got me working all day long

The last thing you need is that cigarette smoke going down within my lungs

And you better be careful with those toddies

My liver and kidneys from that stuff get shoddy

Gon’ find yourself needing another from another body

Fat, trans-fat, mono-saturated fat, poly-saturated fat, too much fat

Will clog my arteries and give me attacks

My heart will rev like a Cadillac

And won’t slow down till I reduce my intake of fat

I’m your body

Susceptible to disease from anybody

And “germs” all folk got “em”

They’re both in the air and within our bodies

That’s why with me you need to take precautions

I’m your body

Giving you a heads up on how to live

Like the taste or not eat your veggies still

Know when you’re maxed out on the ribs

Check your cholesterol and live

I’m your body

And I know how you sometimes feel

When you’re trying to kick in a stubborn will

Especially when exercising ain’t your thrill

But to keep me fit

You got to pay the bill

Sexual promiscuity to me is folly

May seem old fashioned to be conjoined to only one body

But God made the law with no exception to anybody

And that only in marriage has he allowed it

Hoping you get the message so we both can live
