I think you did not watch this video fully. “An ounce of experience is more than all the books in the library put together.” A yogi walks the talk. He gives you the method that he himself has verified. He also guides you in your journey since he has gone thru that path himself/herself. Advancement in yogic path is done by leaving all books behind.

We live for experience. All may know knowing, but it is the experiencing of the knowing that is priceless. We experience to know what we already know, and in doing so, we experience god…oneness…enlightenment…or however you want to call it. Be the experience of enlightenment. Be the description of enlightenment that holds true to you and the experience of being enlightened is yours. This is that connection.

The problem you are suffering is that you are trying to intellectualize an experience that is beyond thinking about it. Meditate, meditate, meditate and you won’t have to ask these questions! You will KNOW. Peace!
It is the advice I needed to hear. I judged it based on my need for it, and was thankful for it. I’m not terribly concerned with the authenticity of faith’s advice – my inner authenticity and how I received the advice was genuine, and for it, I am slightly further ahead. 🙂
What is “experience”? I have been in a “yogic” environment where people had lots of Shakti experiences, or name them Kundalini experiences. Yet the guru and the organization were/are to an important part corrupt. So where is the connection between “experience” and “enlightenment” there?
It takes practice to tune in to our Higher SELF. The ego will fight you every step of the way BECAUSE it does not want to lose its power over you. But as we learn to trust our Inner Voice, which does not judge, or fear, or live in the past or the future,we automatically will…be with the right people-at the right time, say the right words-at the right moment, make the proper decisions at the proper time and for the proper reasons. Our problem is that we do not trust our Inner compass. TRUST
Our Golden Mind is the CREATIVE tool of The Divine, the birth place of all Experiences.The mind CAN be very useful but only when disciplined with love. The undisciplined mind can run you off a cliff or take you to hell in a hand basket,as my Master says. The mind is a virtual reality machine, just churning out thought after thought after thought. When we continually dance to all these thoughts it keeps us busy, and away from The Inner stillness,where ALL True Knowledge resides. Be patient.
