I didnt transiton long…my hair before I BC was past my shoulders but it was badly damaged so I just cut it…the 2 textures drove me crazy and now my hair grows faster and stronger being 100% natural.

Ok–I am here for ya girl…first thing first. Since you are newly natural, you need to decide if you are doing to cut off your relaxed ends or just let it grow out. Next, depending on what you decide, you may or may not experience alot of dryness during the beginning months so it is really important that you find some good products to help keep your hair moisturized. After that-its all about trial & error- finding what works & what your hair likes…just keep watching the vids girl.

well honestly the day after I did my big chop I put kinky twist in my hair so I didnt have any type of regimen afterwards…but my hai was so short back then, water and IC gel just made my hair curl right up…it dont do that anymore because my hair is longer but I mainly focused on moisture in the beginning stages…I used alot of my water and veg gly. spray on my hair and I keep my scalp clean. but I went straight into protective hairstyles mood after my BC

    I have a question:
I am planning to do my big chop this week and i was wondering what products/regimine you used afterwards to protect it since it was freshly cut?
If you have any other advice for me, i could really use it.
    Thanks

sorry your son’s team lost, but y’all will get ’em next time….you’re doing the right thing as far as how many times you’re supposed to wash your hair. those of us who have course textured hair are supposed to wash our hair once a week, twice if it has a lot of product build up. peple who have that stringy straight hair, release oils through their hair and that’s why they have to wash everyday or every other day or else they’d look like a wet mouse lol…love your progress Diva 🙂
