Let her know what an inspiration she is. I finally saw her live at the Lyric Opera preview at Millennium Park this September and she looks fantastic! Apparently my voice teacher had pizza with her after rehearsal one day (what a story–pizza with Deborah Voigt!)
She’s such an inspiration to everybody, including me. Tell her I nearly died with laughter after watching “The Return of the Little Black Dress” video 🙂

I used to go to Sunday School with Deborah Voigt in middle school at a small church in Prospect Heights, IL. She was a nice kid back then, and I never imagined she’d be this fantastic opera singer as an adult. Her voice is amazing, and I am in awe of her, big or small. Please tell her that Denise Chase said “Congratulations on your awsome career. I, too, just had gastric bypass surgery a week ago.”
I really admire her, does she ever offer coachings to aspiring young fans? I have tickets to see her in Salome at Pacific Opera and would love to take a lesson or even just a chat about opera!
