Causes

What are the most common premature ejaculation causes? This article discusses several common causes of premature ejaculation including genetics, habits, technique, and lifestyle. The first step to fixing your problem is to know what’s causing it.

Genetics

We’re all born with a degree of premature ejaculation because it’s actually an evolutionary advantage to finish quickly. Very few men are born with a perfect ability to control their orgasms, but the majority of men eventually learn how to last longer in bed. It just takes some good advice and proper practice.

Habits

Another major cause of premature ejaculation is bad habits. You probably have a lot of bad habits that are contributing to your lack of control.

For example, you may have bad masturbation habits. Over the years, you may have trained your mind and body to ejaculate as soon as possible due to poor masturbation habits.

You may have bad mental habits so that you let yourself get overcome with performance anxiety. Or you regularly envision yourself finishing too fast, and those negative images in your mind create a negative self-fulfilling prophecy.

It takes some time to break bad habits and rebuild them with good ones. Most experts agree that it takes at least 27 days to create new habits. The key is to clearly define your goal, find your personal source of motivation, and take consistent action.

Technique

If you’re having trouble lasting long enough in bed, poor sexual technique is often to blame.

One example of poor technique is going too fast right out of the gate. That would be like sprinting at the outset of a marathon. You need to pace yourself.

Another common technique error is to use the wrong positions. Certain common positions, like “missionary,” require a lot of thrusting, and therefore make it harder to last longer.

Lifestyle

Drinking too much, smoking, being overweight and eating a poor diet – these things can all contribute to poor sexual performance. Many of these lifestyle factors can also lead to erectile dysfunction, and men with erectile dysfunction are much likelier to experience premature ejaculation.

Other Health Issues

Finally, when identifying your causes of premature ejaculation, it’s important to make a visit to the doctor’s office – just to be safe. Some severe cases of premature ejaculation result from depression or prostate conditions. If you have any doubt about what’s going on with your health, it’s always best to see a doctor. Premature ejaculation is very common, so there’s no need to be embarrassed. It’s always better safe than sorry.

In women, infertility can occur when insufficient nutrition reaches the reproductive tissue. Sometimes this might be due to poor eating habits, but other times there is a medical issue such as poor digestion or some obstruction due to toxins. In men, excessive smoking, drugs and hard liquor can contribute to a low sperm count, which in turn makes it difficult to conceive. Additionally, other medical issues including diabetes, thyroid conditions, stress and even weight can contribute to difficulties conceiving a child.

Common causes of Female infertility are:

1. Ovulation problems
2. Tubal causes
3. Sperm causes
4. Unexplained infertility
5. Age-related factors

The main symptom of infertility in a woman is irregularity in her menstrual period, or when menstruation fails to occur for many months at a time. Such an occurrence is an indication that a visit to the doctor or gynecologist is in order. In men, the loss of interest in sexual activity or the urge to have sex is often an indication of infertility.

Although the symptoms of infertility are concerning, there are ways to cure it with medication in many cases, or in severe cases with surgery. In addition, in vitro fertilization clinics and artificial insemination can help with conception.

So, how can you tell whether you have fertility problems? Keep a journal of any symptom that you may encounter. For instance, when you have your menstrual cycle, make a note in a journal. If any irregularities occur, note them as well. Then on a regular basis keep track of any changes in these symptoms.

Normally the steps of a basic infertility evaluation would include:

1. History: – Taking a thorough medical history including any other medical conditions you might be having, any history of drug intake, and any other obstetric or gynecological problems that you may have.
2. Physical examination: – A thorough physical examination.
3. Blood tests: – Depending on the individual couple’s situation, various blood tests on either the female or the male may be needed. They can include testing for the levels of various sex hormones.
4. Taking a sample of semen and doing a semen analysis
5. Finding out if the woman is ovulating or not (i.e. producing egg in every menstrual cycle)
6. Hysterosalpingogram: – This test is done in order to assess the anatomy of the cavity of the uterus and the fallopian tubes.
7. Laparoscopy: – May be required after basic tests have been done. The surgeon looks inside the abdomen through an endoscope to look for any deformities of the tubes or for endometriosis.

Once a medication or course of treatment has been prescribed for you, keep another journal in which you describe the results. Have the symptoms improved? Are they worse? Are there any side effects? Keep track of when side effects occur and how severe they are. Having this information handy will help your doctor prescribe the treatment that best addresses not only your fertility, but your overall health as well.

You owe it to yourself to take an active role in managing your own health. Infertility can usually be addressed but you need to use every tool at your disposal to make sure you get the best results possible.

Hypertension or High blood pressure (HBP) means high pressure (tension) in the arteries. Arteries are vessels that carry blood from the pump heart to all the tissues and organs of the body. High blood pressure does not mean extreme emotional tension, although touching tension and stress can temporarily increase blood pressure. Normal blood pressure is above 120/80; blood pressure between 120/80 and 139/89 is called “pre-hypertension”, and a blood pressure of 140/90 or above is consider high. Hypertension places patients at high risk for target organ damage counting, retina, brain, heart, kidneys etc.
High Blood Pressure Symptoms: High blood pressure regularly causes no symptoms.
Even if high blood pressure does reason symptoms, the symptoms are usually mild and nonspecific (vague, or suggestive of many different disorders).
Thus, high blood pressure often is labeled “the silent killer.”
People who have high blood pressure typically don’t know it until their blood pressure is measured.
People with average hypertension may have a tendency as they get older to develop extra sustained or higher elevations of blood pressure. They have a modestly increased danger of developing heart-related (cardiovascular) disease.
Main Causes of Hypertension
The cause of essential hypertension is multifactorial, that is, there are several factors whose combined effects produce hypertension. In secondary hypertension, which accounts for 5% of hypertension, the high blood pressure is secondary to (caused by) a specific abnormality in one of the organs or systems of the body.
These include:
* Smoking
* Obesity or being overweight
* Diabetes
* Sedentary lifestyle
* Lack of physical activity
* High levels of salt intake (sodium sensitivity)
* Insufficient calcium, potassium, and magnesium expenditure
* Vitamin D deficiency
* High levels of alcohol utilization
* Stress
* Aging
Let’s come on Hypertension treatment :
The main goal of treatment for hypertension is to lower blood pressure to less than 140/90 – or even lower in some groups such as people with diabetes, and people with chronic kidney diseases. Treating hypertension is significant for reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and heart failure.

High blood pressure may be treated medically, by shifting lifestyle factors, or a combination of the two. Important lifestyle change include losing weight, quitting smoking, eating a healthful diet, reducing sodium intake, exercise regularly, and limiting alcohol consumption.
Effects of Yoga on Blood Pressure :
1. Regular practice of Yoga reduces blood pressure to the tune of 10 to 15 mm / Hg (observed facts, good evidence exists to support this observation)
2. Yoga can reduce weight loss which in turn reduces blood pressure.
3. Regular Yoga performer is less likely to suffer from Hypertension than their age & sex matched counterparts. This result has been studied and proven at our center.
4. The night ‘dip’ of blood pressure a phenomenon seen in normal people and which can be absent in some hypertensive is regularly restored as observed at our center.
5. A casual Shavasana and Omkar chanting each can reduce the B.P. by about 10 – 15 mm / Hg even in an untrained person who may not practice Yoga regularly.

Diabetes is a common disease that develops, due to a hormone insulin imbalance produced by the pancreas. Insulin controls the glucose level in the blood, and how much glucose is absorbed by the cells; which in turn use glucose to produce energy. When insulin is not present in the body or the body is not utilizing it properly, glucose cannot enter the cells, and stays in the bloodstream producing hyperglycemia, or excess of sugar in the blood. There are some other important things to know about causes of diabetes are excess intake of oil and sugar, hereditary and genetics factors, increased cholesterol level, over weight, stress, sedentary lifestyle.

Frequent urination, excessive hunger and thirst, problems of back and joint pain, tiredness or general weakness, loss or gain of weight, and long time for healing of wounds are the symptoms of diabetes.

Home remedies for diabetes

Garlic: Garlic contains allicin, which helps in reducing the sugar level in the blood. It also helps to disintegration of cholesterol in the body.

Jamun (black plum): Black plum has a specific action on the pancreas, which controls the conversion of starch to sugar. The seeds of the black plum have better effects than the pulp.

Mango leave: Mango leaves are very effective in controlling diabetes. Take some mango leaves and soak them in water for 6-8 hours. Take this solution an empty stomach early in the morning. You can also take them in powder form with water. Dry the mango leaves and make its powder in a grinder. Mix one tablespoon of the powder of mango leaves in a glass of water and drink it in the morning.

Bitter gourd (karela): Take one tablespoon juice of bitter gourd every morning. It is very effective home remedies. It will definitely reduce the intensity of the condition.

Fenugreek: Fenugreek seed used to spice up Indian food. It has been used as a home remedies to treat symptoms that indicate diabetes. Be careful to take this as a medicine, the side effects of fenugreek are diarrhea, flatulence, and allergic reactions. Proper monitoring is very necessary and the recommended dose is one or two grams of seeds, 2-3 times a day and it can be taken as a tea.

Many people keep asking whether sex can really help to prevent prostate cancer. This article looks into it and examines how and why sex can help in the prevention of prostate cancer or not. But of course – before you take any advice in this article, ensure that you consult with your doctor.
Conventional treatments include surgery to remove the prostate gland or radiotherapy. These are aggressive options and complications including impotence and urinary incontinence can result from surgery, and the risk of secondary cancers is a concern since science already knows radiation exposure causes cancer.

Other risk factors include such things as race with African Americans, for example, at higher risk than Hispanic men who, in turn, are at higher risk than Caucasian men. People living in Western society are also at greater risk because of the nature of the diet followed by many in the West.
Instead, you should eat lots of fish. Omega-3 fatty acids are sourced from some kinds of fish. These substances help to reduce the appearance of cancer cells in the body. In the US journal of clinical cancer Research, a publication was made which revealed that eating oily fish could reverse inherited prostate cancer genes.

Again, the presences of these symptoms either singularly or together do not in themselves indicate that you have cancer of the prostate. This is because these same symptoms are can indicate the presence of another ailment or condition and only a physician can determine that.
Lots of people get so busy that they don’t even have any time to exercise. This is very counterproductive and can lead not general ill-health. Make it a habit of engaging in some form of exercise at least thrice or more times each week. This can also help in preventing not only prostate cancer but other illnesses as well.

Contrary to what you may have heard the sun isn’t all bad. In the US research carried out on men living within the sunniest states found a 32% lower risk rate of prostate cancer. This is believed to be as a result of Vitamin D, which we can get from the sun. However, if you are worried about damage to skin from the sun, you can get your Vitamin D requirements from Cod Liver Oil instead.
Think about asking a family member or good friend to stay with you for support the day of the surgery. It is going to be a long day, and having company may make the time go by faster. Also, if there are any problems or complications, you will have someone to lean on.

Even if you don’t eat the right types of food, eating the WRONG types of food will do you a lot of harm and yes, can cause or trigger certain illnesses, including prostate cancer. So, what harm does it do to you to get rid of foods that don’t really add anything of value to your body?
As you have seen from the above words, it’s indeed possible to prevent prostate cancer by having good and “right” sex. Remember, there are wrong ways of having sex and there are right ways of having sex, just like everything else in life. Ensure that you do things right, when it comes to cancer of the prostate and you will be sure to prevent it.

Liver cancer also known as primary or metastasis hepatic carcinoma is a fairly rare form of cancer in the western world (1% of all cancers) but much more common in Africa and parts of Asia (10% to 50% of all cancers). It is much more prevalent in men and incidence increases with age. Liver cancer is rapidly fatal, usually within 6 months from gastrointestinal hemorrhage, hepatic failure or metastasis.

Types of Liver Cancer:
Most primary liver tumors are known as hepatomas (hepatocellular carcinoma and primary lower cell carcinoma). Some primary liver cancers originate in the bile duct and these are known as cholangiomas. Some rare liver cancers include Kupffer cell sarcoma and hepatoblastomas (which occur almost exclusively in children and are usually respectable and curable). Metastatic liver cancer is 20 times more common than primary liver cancer and after cirrhosis this is the leading form of liver related death.

Signs and Symptoms:
Liver cancer does not normally cause symptoms until it is in an advanced stage. Clinical effects of advanced liver cancers include:
1. A mass in the right upper side.
2. Tender, nodular liver on palpation
3. Severe pain in the epigastrium or upper right side
4. Weight loss, anorexia, weakness, fever
5. Occasional jaundice or ascites (fluid in the abdomen)

Causes of Liver Cancer:
The exact cause of liver cancer is unknown in adults but in children it may be a genetic disease. Adult liver carcinomas may result from environmental exposure to carcinogens such as mold, contrast media (no longer in use), androgens and oral estrogens, the hepatitis B virus or by damage to the liver due to cirrhosis caused by too much prolonged imbibing of alcohol.

Diagose:
Liver cancer is difficult to diagnose in the presence of cirrhosis, but several tests can help identify it: The combination of an imaging study (ultrasound, CT, or MRI scans) and an elevated blood level of alpha-fetoprotein will most effectively diagnose liver cancer, electrolyte studies may indicate increased sodium retention, a liver biopsy can make a definitive diagnosis.

Liver Treatment:
Treatments for primary liver cancer depend on the extent (stage) of the disease, age, overall health, feelings and personal preferences. Surgery is the most effective treatment for primary liver cancer, but this is not always possible due to the size or position of the tumor. Radiofrequency ablation is an option for people with small, unrespectable hepatocellular tumors and for some types of metastatic liver cancers. During this procedure, the hepatic artery (the artery from which liver cancers derive their blood supply) is blocked, and chemotherapy drugs are injected between the blockage and the liver. Cryoablation may be an option for people with inoperable primary and metastasis liver cancers. Removing the whole liver and replacing it with a liver from another person is another possible form of treatment for primary liver cancer.

Even when treatments fail to provide much improvement in the liver cancer itself, pain and other signs and symptoms caused by liver cancer can be aggressively treated to improve quality of life. In general, the treatments available for children are the same as for adults, and the best approach depends on the stage and type of cancer as well as the child’s age and overall health.

Now day’s natural remedies are very popular and used as alternative treatment for liver problem.

Special areas in the pancreas gland, the islets of Langerhans, produce a hormone called insulin. This hormone is a protein of small size. Insulin stimulates muscle cells and other body cells to take up glucose from the blood and convert the glucose to glycogen, a kind of starch, and then store the glycogen. By need the body cells convert the glycogen to glucose and use it as fuel. In this way insulin keeps the glucose level in the blood at a normal size.

By diabetes type I the cells producing insulin are destroyed. Then less glucose is taken up from the blood into the body cells and utilized there, and glucose accumulates in the blood.

THE CAUSES AND MECHANISMS OF DIABETES TYPE I

The cause of the disease is not well known. An auto-immune response attacking the insulin producing cells in the langerhansian islets may be a cause. Virus infection may be another cause. The disease also is to some extend inherited.

When the glucose uptake into the body cells is reduced, but glucose instead accumulates in the blood, the following physiological effects occur:

-The body cells do not get enough fuel for the work they shall do.

-The molecular thickness (osmality) of the blood increases. This causes water to be pulled out from the body tissues and into the blood. The tissues thus get dried out and the urine production increases.

-The tissues begin to break down protein and fat to get energy, causing weight loss and muscular reduction.

The symptoms of diabetes type 1 are a consequence of these mechanisms.

SYMPTOMS OF DIABETES TYPE 1

The disease often starts suddenly. Often children or young people are attacked by the disease. The lack of insulin causes an increased amount of blood sugar. Early symptoms of the disease are:

-Increased urine production

-Dehydration (lack of water in the body)

-Abnormally high thirst as a consequence of increased urine production

-Dryness in the mouth

-An abnormal high appetite

-Feeling extremely tired and weak

-Weight loss, even when one eats well

-Impaired vision

If the blood sugar level is not stabilized to a normal value, there will be an accumulation of chemicals in the body called ketones, and this condition is called diabetic ketoacidosis. This serious condition can lead to coma and death. The signs of ketoacidosis are:

-Vomiting,

-Pain in the stomach

-Rapid breathing,

-High pulse rate

-Somnolence (abnormal tendency to sleep)

In the long term, diabetes type 1 can severely hurt the blood vessels in vital organs. This can further cause damage to the heart, eyes, kidneys or other body organs.

TREATMENTS OF DIABETES TYPE 1

Diabetes type 1 is treated with insulin injections. Implanting insuline cells in the pancreas is an experimental treatment. Another experimental treatment is to implant stem cells in the pancreas that can develop into new insulin producing cells.

Another important module of the treatment is regulation of the amount of sugar and fat consumed through the diet so that it fits together with the insulin-amount injected. Also regular monitoring of the blood sugar level to regulate the insulin amount is an important part of the treatment.

There are also natural products in the market that can help to normalize the blood sugar level by diabetes type 2. Those products cannot heal the disease or replace insulin injections, but they can help the body to regulate the blood sugar level. These products contain minerals that are working components of enzymes that stimulate the glucose metabolism in the body. They also contain herbs that have been used for a long time in traditional medicine to regulate the glucose level and that have proven their effects in scientific studies.

One of the insidious things about smoking cigarettes is that it takes a long time for the serious health effects to be noticed by the smoker even though damage occurs with each cigarette smoked. By the time the smoker notices health issues, serious health damage has occurred; damage that could have been avoided if they had stopped smoking years earlier.

Fortunately, there are obvious external effects of smoking cigarettes that warn the smoker years in advance of the damage that is happening to them internally. The problem is the smoker doesn’t realize that cigarettes are causing these external changes. This article will alert the smoker to an external effect of smoking: accelerated aging. This is something the smoker can see every time they look in the mirror. The change the smoker sees on the outside is a reflection of what is going on inside their body!

The False Sense of Security with Smoking

When you look at young smokers, you see people that don’t believe smoking cigarettes is a serious health threat to themselves. These young smokers think that because they go to the gym, play sports and go about their daily routine without any obvious negative effects, they are somehow spared the health consequences of smoking. Sadly this isn’t so.

It usually takes about 30 plus years of smoking to develop the really serious diseases that are associated with smoking cigarettes. For a 25 year old that has been smoking for 10 years, twenty years in the future is a long time.

Yet, that 10 years of smoking has already taken its toll. If the young smoker stopped ignoring the changes that cigarettes produce in their body, they would see that they are affected. If they realized what they were looking at, they would see the effects of cigarette smoking every time they looked in the mirror!

Do You Look Older than Your Years?

It’s ironic that one of the reasons a 12-15 year old starts smoking is to look older. When they start smoking at this early age, they don’t realize that smoking cigarettes will actually make them look older and BE older because of accelerated aging!

As a student of history and a photographer, I have always been fascinated by images from the past. I am grateful to all the photographers before me that took the time to preserve memories of day to day places and people that no longer exist; the everyday life that most of us take for granted. This preservation allows us to visually experience another time.

One of the things I have noticed when studying images from the 1920’s through the 1970’s is that the people look really old. When you look at a picture of a man and guess 55 years of age, it’s shocking to find that person is only 23 years old!

What accounts for this great difference in appearance versus age? Cigarette smoking! Research shows it accelerates aging. The images from the era when 44% of the population smoked cigarettes clearly shows this phenomena.

Smoking Cigarettes Causes Accelerated Aging

Our skin is the canvas that displays the picture of our health status. Smoking makes a person look much older. The longer a person smokes, the faster they show signs of aging. Research finds that not only does smoking contribute to premature facial wrinkles but also wrinkling of skin in other areas such as the inner arm. Look at your arms smoking ladies!

Another effect smoking has on the skin is developing psoriasis, a very unsightly and unpleasant skin ailment. The higher the number of cigarettes smoked over a pack per day, the greater the risk of developing this miserable skin condition, e.g. itching and burning. You can always tell a smoker, other than by the odor which is another article, because their skin has an unhealthy tone to it as well as wrinkles.

If you want to see a clear example of the aging effects of smoking, look at pictures of famous people who smoked. One of the clearest examples is President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was noted for his cigarette holder and there are numerous photographs of him smoking! He died of a stroke, a health condition associated with long term smoking, in 1945 at the age of 63. Look at the pictures of him in the last few years of his life. Rather than 63, he looks more like 93.

You can find many, many other examples in old photographs from the era when 44% of the population smoked. Look at the picture, guess the age and then see how old the person really was when the photograph was taken. Smoking does age you!

Is it Male Pattern Baldness or Cigarettes?

Even your hair dresser won’t know for sure! People are surprised to find that smoking affects their hair but research shows it does in several ways.

As a smoker of 10 or more years, do you find some gray hair beginning to show up? Most smokers do because research has shown that smokers are three to six times more likely to go prematurely gray than non-smokers. Another effect on the hair is that men who smoke are twice as likely to become bald as men who don’t smoke. Does this just apply to men? Or is this a reason why older women who smoke have thinning hair?

Although the smoker can ignore their skin changes because it’s gradual, they cannot ignore gray hair. However, the smoker just attributes this to getting older. They don’t realize that it’s not normal for people to start getting gray hair in their 20’s and 30’s. This is not a sign of getting older, it’s a sign of smoking!

How Does Smoking Affect Your Mouth?

Obviously, that harsh, polluted cigarette smoke passes into the lungs through the mouth. Smoking can’t help but stain your teeth which also adds to the appearance of being older than you are.

Of course, there is the awful “cigarette” breath as well. In addition to the bad breath, smoking also puts you at great risk for all sorts of dental problems, including oral cancer and gum disease.

Teeth and gum problems are another symptom associated with old age. Yet, this is happening to smokers early in their life.

Does Smoking Really Shorten Your Life?

In a word, YES! In addition to making the smoker look older, research shows that the smoker actually IS older.

A report in the Archives of Internal Medicine showed that men who never smoked lived an average of 10 years longer than their peers who smoked. YES, smoking really does shorten your life! Also, the non-smokers enjoyed a higher quality of life throughout those extra years.

Conclusion

You do not have to wait for 30 plus years to see the impact that cigarettes are having on your body. If you’ve smoked for 10 years or more, you can look in the mirror and see the effects today!

Facial wrinkles, gray hair and even baldness at a young age are the outwards signs of the internal damage caused by cigarettes. If you think the external body changes are simply the result of aging, you need to think again. These outward signs are more than cosmetic issues. They are a visible warning alerting you to the internal damage that smoking cigarettes is causing to your body. The sooner cigarettes are removed from your life, the sooner your body can begin to repair itself. Don’t wait until it’s too late, pay attention to these important signs today!

An ear infection affects important parts in the ear that help us hear. Sounds around us are collected by the outer ear. Then sound travels to the middle ear, which has three tiny bones and is filled with air.

After that, sound moves on to the inner ear. The inner ear is where sounds are turned into electrical signals and sent to the brain. An ear infection affects the whole ear, but especially the middle and inner ear.

Take a teaspoonful of sesame oil and add half a clove of garlic to this oil. Heat it on a flame to make it a little warm. Put four drops of this oil in the open ear.

Lie on this side for ten to fifteen minutes. Then turn over and put the oil in the second ear also. Lie on this side too for ten to fifteen minutes. This is one of the effective home remedies for earache.

If you decide to give an herbal treatment therapy to your pet, it is necessary that you take note of its improvement. If you don’t see anything positive happening to your dog since you have applied the cure, you might as well stop it because your dog is not responsive to the treatment anyway.

Causes

The veterinarian would normally prescribe antibiotics to your pet. Depending on the condition of its ear, oral medicines may be given. Otherwise, topical treatments would suffice. You have to be very consistent when giving your dog these medicines because any changes in the schedule or dosage may affect the rate of recovery of your pet.

You might think that ear infection in dogs is a minor problem. However, your dog could be suffering a lot from it and is just not exhibiting pain. When left untreated for weeks, dog ear infection may lead to total loss of hearing. Worse, your dog may develop a much severe disease because of it.

Ear infections may lead to brain problems because the pus and the bacteria start to penetrate your dog’s head. When this occurs, it would be a lot harder to treat your dog. No herbal remedy, or any other type of medicine for that matter, can truly help it.

If any kind of ear infection or earwax is causing the problem then you will have to take treatment for the infection. If it is earwax then you need to have a clean and healthy ear. There are several simple remedies that can help in treating these problems.

However always take the advice of a doctor and only then go for the medicines. Clearing these problems will enable you to stop ear ringing without much problems.

Xylitol is a great option for those that are seeking to avoid ear infections. This naturally occurring substance has proven to reduce the incidence of ear infection in those that have a history of them. The substance is derived from raspberries as well as plums and is a naturally occurring sweetener.

Treatments

If your dog is suffering from this health concern, you will find it shaking or cocking its head frequently and at an unusual angle. It may also rub its ear incessantly because of irritation. In worse cases, dogs would develop balance problems and hearing impairment due to the disease.

There are different reasons why ear infection in dogs develops. Sometimes, it is due to bacterial and yeasts finding its way in the dog’s ears. Mites may cause this disease as well.

So if your dog has some parasites, be sure that you do what it takes to eliminate them from your pet’s body. Allergies, underlying diseases, and foreign objects may trigger the problem as well.

If your dog is suffering from ear infection, anti-bacterial medications and ear drops are usually the foremost cures. However, it is strongly advised that you don’t just buy over-the-counter medications as they may not necessarily help your pets.

The area from the eardrum to the outer part becomes inflamed and is very painful, sometimes a fever may be developed. Otitis media affects the area inside the eardrum and all the small bones, the air pressure is regulated in this area by the auditory tube running from the ear to the back of the nasal cavity.

when bacteria or a virus gets in this area, the different parts become inflamed with fluid, causing pressure and extremely sharp pain in the ear with fever.

For bad ear aches/infections squeeze lemon juice in your ear, keep it in for a few seconds, and then let it drain out. I put a towel over my ear so it doesn’t drain into my hair…that gets pretty sticky! The lemon has to do with changing the Ph levels in your ear. The bacterium is a base, and if you add the lemon, an acid, it neutralizes the Ph levels in your ear so that the bacteria cannot live in there!

A boil is a skin infection that starts in a hair follicle or oil gland. At first, the skin turns red in the area of the infection, and a tender lump develops. After four to seven days, the lump starts turning white as pus collects under the skin. The most common places for boils to appear are on the face, neck, armpits, shoulders, and buttocks. When one forms on the eyelid, it is called a sty.

Furunculosis is a condition familiar to every one. A furuncle or boil is a deep-seated septic affection of the hair follicle in which the hair rootis completely destroyed and comes out as the core of the boil. Multiple boils are given the anme of furunculoses. A carbuncle is a big conglomeration of boils, the inflammation spreading from one follicle to another under the epidermis. The intervening corium is destroyed and pus is discharged through multiple holes.

Boils can grow slowly or rapidly, depending partly on the type of boil and its cause. They can last anywhere from seven days to two weeks. If not given proper home treatment or medical care, boils can grow rapidly and even become the size of golf balls! But if treated properly, this should not be a worry.

Causes for boils may also include an acne lesion or other skin condition as well. If the boil becomes extremely painful, isnâ??t healing, or is accompanied by a high fever medical intervention may be necessary. Also if red lines are radiating from the boil that may be an indication that the infection has entered the blood stream and medical help should be enlisted promptly.

Boils most commonly occur on the buttock, ears, face, neck, nose, shoulders, thighs and underarms, mostly affecting teenagers and young adults, due to puberty and related hormonal changes within the body’s biological systems. However, in some instances, boils can develop in mature adults. In relevance to the individual presenting a boil, tenderness and pain is experienced.

It is important to treat a boil immediately. Complications can set in if left untreated. Skin boils are extremely contagious. If the pus leaks from the boil it can spread to nearby skin and cause more boils to form. The pus can also enter the blood stream and spread the infection to other parts of your body. We have been recommending a boil treatment for several years now. It is all natural, and many people see dramatic improvement in as little as 24 hours.

Parsley leaves or ajmood also plays vital role in treating boils. Boil parsley leaves, till it becomes soft. Wrap the boiled leaves in clean perforated cloth and put is over boils. This will help in release of puss by opening boilâ??s mouth.

Belladonna [Bell]

In boils with much swelling and redness Belladonna is the remedy to be used in the early stages. Boils recurring in the spring also indicate the remedy. Arnica produces a crop of boils all over, beginning with soreness, go on to suppuration, and another crop follows. When the boils partially mature and shrivel up Arnica is the remedy indicated. Calcarea picrata has achieved a clinical reputation in boils.

You’ve been told that high cholesterol levels are associated with the way you eat. More fat you eat, the higher the cholesterol levels are going to be. More eggs you eat, more cholesterol is going to stuck inside your arteries.

Even though you should control your cholesterol intake in your diet, but that is not only diet that causes high cholesterol levels.

In fact, there are two major high cholesterol causes that you can not do anything about it. I am talking about:

Age
Heritage

If you have high cholesterol written in your DNA from your parents or great-grand parents, you will be more likely to have “stubborn high cholesterol levels”. What I mean by the word stubborn? Well, you will be more prone to high LDL cholesterol and should watch many others aspects of your lifestyle like – diet, exercise and nutritional supplementation program.

Let’s talk about those high cholesterol causes little bit more.

Causes of High Cholesterol – It’s in your heritage…

Obviously you can not do much about this one. You feel like you eat well, exercise and have fairly healthy lifestyle; suddenly you are in a shock when your doctor still measures high LDL cholesterol levels in your blood.

How it can be? I do not eat bad food! I exercise! What can be wrong???

Well, nothing is wrong with you. You just get something from your parents that you did not want.

Family genes play big roles in many human functions. For example heart disease can be inherited.

Skills or talents can be inherited. Therefore nothing is wrong with you.

Basically if you know that your parents have high cholesterol levels, chances are you going to walk in

their shoes as well. Do some research and find out about cholesterol and the connection with your family. If they had any successful cholesterol treatment, the odds are that treatment can be successful for you as well.

Talk to your doctor about your family history of high cholesterol and he might suggest you the best possible solution for you.

Causes of High Cholesterol – Your Age And Gender Has Something To Do With It!

Usually high cholesterol levels are increasing with your age. Many people starting in their forties could experience high cholesterol levels in their blood test.

I believe it can be possible with more sedentary lifestyle, more eating without burning calories. That is why you can see even your people with high cholesterol.

When you are younger then 30 and have cholesterol problems, I would examine your lifestyle choices.

That could be the most possible way in this young age to have high cholesterol. So change your diet, exercise more often and relax!

Also there are reports that women approaching menopause have increased their cholesterol levels. Your hormones are changing and you should be able to regulate them with the help of nutritional supplements or healthy eating habits. Preferably both.

It all comes to trying to experiment and do some changes in your lifestyle. Some changes will help you and some won’t. Once you know what is working for you, go ahead and start implementing them.

That was some insight to those high cholesterol causes you can not do anything about. But what are the other two you can actually play with?

Causes of High Cholesterol – What’s In Your Belly?

You have guessed it. High levels of cholesterol can appear when your belly grows like a pumpkin. It’s not a secret that many Americans are overweight. Many are obese and that alone causes more then just a high cholesterol.

Everything is at stake. Your heart health, your liver, kidneys, lungs and many more organs suffer when you carry the extra weight all day long for many years.

With your busy schedules, taking care of your kids, business and some extra activities you are conditioned by mass media to grab a quick meal in a fast food place. I think it’s convenient, but not in a long run.

That when you start to feel the bad side effects of media promoted fast food restaurants. And there are plenty of great food choices even if you are on the go. I have written couple pages already about low cholesterol diets and low cholesterol recipes. Just visit it at www.lowering-cholesterol-info.com and see yourself.

And even if you grab couple of baby carrots, some almonds and low fat cheese sticks, you will be on your way to a lower cholesterol and healthier, more energetic you.

Causes of High Cholesterol – You Are What You Eat!

Dr. Linus Pauling once stated: “You are what you eat!” Have heard of it? Of course you did. And I am here in your face to tell you that he was right.

You have to realize that like with the computer, the human body reacts the same – garbage in, garbage out.

When you want to prepare meals low in cholesterol follow these simple guidelines. Try to avoid as much as saturated fats as possible. Substitute your oils for unsaturated vegetable oils. I prefer to use low fat cooking spray oils.

Eat more fiber, and whole wheat products. If you are meat lower, always go for skinless chicken breasts, skinless turkey breasts all kinds of fish or even nice lean beef. Try to limit your red

meats to 3 times a week maximum.

And always eat fresh raw fruit and vegetables. You will get more energy without increasing your belly size.

Regular exercise is a must for anybody, not just someone on a diet. All it takes 20 minutes of walk tree times a week and you will notice the great healthy benefits. You see, you do not need to become another Arnold Schwarzenegger to be in great health.

And last tip for today is relax! You can relax with meditation, listening great music, doing yoga or anything that calms you down and you enjoy. When you meditate early in the morning and before you go to sleep, you will notice more about yourself. When you know yourself, you are the master of your life!

Cholesterol is a waxy, fatlike substance that your body needs to function normally. Cholesterol is naturally present in cell walls or membranes everywhere in the body, including the brain, nerves, muscles, skin, liver, intestines, and heart.

Your body uses cholesterol to produce many hormones, vitamin D, and the bile acids that help to digest fat. It takes only a small amount of cholesterol in the blood to meet these needs. If you have too much cholesterol in your bloodstream, the excess may be deposited in arteries, including the coronary (heart) arteries, where it contributes to the narrowing and blockages that cause the signs and symptoms of heart disease.

At normal levels, cholesterol is not a bad thing. On the contrary, it’s an essential raw material used by the body to build cell walls and produce hormones such as estrogen and testosterone. The body produces its own supply of cholesterol in the liver, and it’s found naturally in all animal products (such as meats, eggs, milk, and cheese). It poses a problem only when the body is unable to use or eliminate excessive supplies.

Cholesterol levels begin increasing for both men and women as age goes up. Women generally have a lower level than men do between the age of 50 and 55. However, once a woman starts into menopause, the natural occurrence is that the cholesterol level starts to increase.

Causes of High Cholesterol

The tendency to build up high cholesterol may run in families, but excessively high levels are usually the result of a poor diet high in saturated fats and calories, combined with little or no exercise. In some cases, an elevated cholesterol level may be associated with an undiagnosed medical condition, such as hypothyroidism (low thyroid function) or diabetes.

Excess weight tends to increase you LDL (bad) cholesterol level. If you are overweight and have high cholesterol levels, losing weight may help you lower it. Weight loss also helps to lower triglyceride levels as well as raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol rarely causes symptoms. It is usually detected during a routine blood test that measures cholesterol levels (see the Exams and Tests section). You may first discover it when you are diagnosed with a condition that is caused in part by high cholesterol, such as coronary artery disease, stroke, or peripheral vascular disease.

Alcohol is “good” because it increases HDL cholesterol (the good one). However, it does not decrease the bad or HDL cholesterol. Plus, drinking too much alcohol damages the liver and heart muscle, leads to high blood pressure and raises triglyceride levels.

Drinking more than the recommended amount of alcohol (ie more than three to four units per day for men and two to three units per day for women).

Women get a natural boost in their HDL cholesterol (the good kind of cholesterol) from their hormones until they reach menopause. After menopause, taking estrogen can help maintain higher HDL cholesterol levels.

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL): LDL, or “bad,” cholesterol transports cholesterol throughout your body. LDL cholesterol builds up in the walls of your arteries, making them hard and narrow.

Your chances of a heart attack rise dramatically when your cholesterol gets even moderately out of line. Generally speaking, a man with a total blood cholesterol level of 240 is twice as likely to suffer a heart attack as a man with a level of 200, all other factors being equal. A level of 300 carries five times the risk.

Age and gender–Cholesterol levels begin to increase in both men and women beginning around 20 years of age. Premenopausal women usually have lower levels of cholesterol when compared with men of the same age. After menopause, a woman’s LDL cholesterol level typically goes up, as does her risk for heart disease.

The Causes of diabetes are still not fully understood. Neither are medical scientists able to explain why some people develop diabetes and others don’t. Certain factors have, however, been clearly identified which contribute to the development of diabetes.

Is Diabetes Inherited?

Heredity is a major factor. That diabetes can be inherited has been known for centuries. However, the pattern of inheritance is not fully understood. Statistic indicates that those with a family history of the disease have a higher risk of developing diabetes than those without such a background. The risk factor is 25 to 33 percent more.

Children are most likely to develop diabetes if either or both parents are diabetes, or if the expectant mother became diabetic, or if the mother was a confirmed diabetic prior to conception. This may not always be true. It is possible for parents who were, or are diabetic and the other remains free from the disease.

It is, however, essential that the blood sugar level of an expectant mother who is diabetic be maintained within the normal range, so that diabetes is not passed on to her child. It the blood sugar level is kept under control, the infant may not have nay symptoms of inherited diabetes, but a risk factor cannot be ruled out.

One reason why diabetes, especially type-2 diabetes runs in the family is because of the diabetes gene. But even it is caused by genetic factors beyond your control; there is no reason to suffer from it. Diabetes mellitus cannot be cured in full sense of the term, but it can be effectively controlled so that you would not know the difference.

Intensive genetic research is currently underway to identify genes associated with both type-1 and type-2 diabetes. In a study sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of USA the relatives at risk of type-1 diabetes are being treated with low doses of either insulin or an oral medication to determine if drugs may prevent the disease.

Surveys show that in India diabetes is more prevalent among males than females. In this population, family history of diabetes mellitus was present in 5.5 to 11.6 per cent. Amongst diabetics, 18.3 per cent urban and 6.4 percent of rural population had a direct relative with diabetes. Therefore, genetic predisposition in India is comparable to that observed in other parts of the world.

Diet: A Self inflicted Causes

Diabetes has been described by most medical scientists as a prosperity’ disease, primarily caused by systematic overeating. Not only is eating too much sugar and refined carbohydrates harmful, but proteins and fats, which are transformed into sugar, may also result in diabetes if taken in excess.

Too much food taxes the pancreas and ultimately its normal activity of producing insulin gets paralyzed. It is interesting to note that diabetes is almost unknown in countries where people are poor and cannot afford to overeat.

The incidence of diabetes is directly linked with the consumption of processed foods rich in refined carbohydrates, like biscuits, bread, cakes chocolates, pudding and ice creams. In Britain, during the war when only whole wheat bread was available the incidence of diabetes dropped by 55 percent.

Parents should take great care to develop correct dietary habits in their children. Children should be prevented from becoming addicts to harmful foods like ice cream, cakes, jam, jelly, peppermint, chocolates and other sweets. The amount of food given to children should be such as would allow growth but not obesity. Children should be convinced about the importance of exercise and games and sports should be encouraged. Ideal body weight and a proportionate body is an almost certain guarantee against diabetes.

The Obesity Trigger

Obesity is one of the main causes of diabetes. Studies show that 60 to 85 % of diabetics tend to be overweight. In the United States of America, about 80 percent of type –2 non-insulin dependent diabetics are reported to be overweight. During the Second World War, when there was a decrease in the average weight of the people, the incidence of diabetes came down dramatically. The greater the obesity, the greater is the mortality rate due to complications of diabetes.

Excess fat prevents insulin from working properly. The more fatty tissue in the body, the more resistant the muscle and tissue cells become to body insulin. Insulin allows the sugar in the blood to enter the cells by acting on the receptor sites on the surface of the cells. In obesity, where a person is overweight by 20 percent of the ideal weight or has high uric acid, or some syndromes, receptors are sparse and functionally idle. This is observed in patients developing diabetes around the age of 40 years, and having type-2 non-insulin dependent diabetes. It is estimated that the incidence of diabetes is four times higher in persons of moderate’s obesity and 3 times higher in persons of severe obesity. It has been rightly said; Heredity is like a cannon and obesity pulls and trigger.

Older people often tend to gain weight, and the same time, many of them develop and mild form of diabetes because who are over weight can often improve their blood sugar simply by losing weight. In some cases, it is all that is required to bring blood sugar back into the normal range. Even small weight loss can have beneficial effects, reducing blood sugar levels, or allowing medicines to work better. However, sudden gain in weight may cause diabetes to return. It is therefore important for older people to keep their weight down to normal. Among those detected to be diabetic, almost one third are overweight.

Virus Infections

Pancreatic infections with Coxsackie’s B virus can result in beta cell damage, development of autoantibodies and, consequently, type-1 insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. Some of these can be diagnosed by a viral antibody test and islet cell antibody test. Screening for antibodies can indicate potentially juvenile diabetes in a family on the basis of auto-immunity.

The Lifestyle Risk

A sedentary lifestyle, resulting from lack of physical work and exercise, plays an improvement role in the development of diabetes. The less active a person, the greater the risk of developing diabetes. Modern conveniences have made work easier. Physical activity and exercise helps control weight, uses up a lot of glucose (sugar) present in the blood as energy and makes cells more sensitive to insulin. Consequently, the workload on the pancreas is reduced.

Exercise also adds to the muscles mass. Normally, between 70 percent to 90 percent of the blood sugar is absorbed into the muscles. A reduction in muscle mass-either due to age of physical inactivity—reduces the storage space for blood sugar, and it remains in the blood stream.

Smoking: An Important Risk Factor

Smoking is another important risk factor. Among men who smoke, the risk of developing diabetes is doubled. In women who smoke 25 or more cigarettes a day, the risk of developing diabetes is increased by 40 percent. Smoking also reduces retinal blood flow and increases the risk of developing retinopathy. It also decreases insulin absorption and limits joints mobility. Smoking, in combination with diabetes, greatly enhances the likelihood of premature mortality. It also depends upon the number of cigarettes a day a person smokes and the number of years he has been smoking.

Age

A risk of type-2 diabetes increases, as one grows older, especially above the age of 45 years. Part of the reason is that is people grow older, they tend to become less physically active, lose muscle mass and gain weight. With life styles becoming more sedentary, there has been an increase of diabetes among people in there 30s and 40s.

Stress and Tension

Stress can be emotional or physical, such as a surgery or a serious infection, an accident or an emotional shock. Another very urban trait, the high stress lifestyle, not just amongst the young unwardly mobile, but increasingly in all walks of life, is a relatively new phenomenon in India. Since there is a known connection between stress and diabetes mellitus, those who are under stress and/or lead an irregular lifestyle, need to take adequate precautions and make necessary lifestyle adjustments.

Pancreatic insufficiency caused by stress, can lead to diabetes. Grief, worry and anxiety resulting from examinations, death of a close relative, loss of a joy, business failure and strained marital relationship, all a deep influence on the metabolism and may cause sugar to appear in the urine.

Organic Disorders

Diabetes may be associated with some grave organic disorders like cancer, tuberculosis and cerebral diseases. Diabetes may also be caused by a variety of other factors. These include certain metabolic and genetic disorders, inadequate secretion of insulin by the pancreas, malfunctioning of other endocrine glands like thyroid, pituitary and adrenal, excessive consumption of alcohol and the use of the certain drugs.

Race

Although the reasons are unclear, people of certain races are more likely to develop diabetes than others.
